    What a lovely place to stay! The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the main lodge and accommodation are beautifully decorated and maintained, food delicious and facilities like the pool and children’s play room are a real bonus. Staying here amongst the rainforest is a real treat. We’d highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in Plettenberg Bay

    Amazing place in the middle of nowhere Staff are fabulous and so are the rooms The food we had last night was the best we have eaten in capetown Breakfast was huge and they packed up leftovers for our lunch ( the monkeys did a balcony raid and snatched it but that was our fault !)However I would not come here without a car unless you want to do nothing I was so bored today as the weather wasnt good (raining) we actually walked along the lane We have another long day tomorrow hope the weather will be better as the pool is fabulous I think the hotel could perhaps just charge a small amount to take you to plettenberg bay or birds of Eden as taxi prices are steep The evening drink on the deck with the wood burner was lovely But the nights are long !My fault when planning itinerary I should have thought more and maybe just done one night to experience it but not the hotels fault If you have a car then book it It is great

    An Exceptional Stay Under the Stars at Hog Hollow

    As we continue our journey from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, we have been continually amazed by the exceptional service, warm hospitality, and outstanding standards of the hotels and restaurants we have been fortunate enough to experience.Hog Hollow is yet another prime example of an establishment that truly epitomises genuine customer care. The level of personal interaction and attention to detail makes all the difference to a guest’s stay and overall experience.What also makes Hog Hollow so special is its unique setting. It creates the feeling that your lodge is the only one on the entire estate, offering a sense of peace, privacy, and exclusivity. During our stay, the night skies were simply breathtaking — a front-row view of the stars and the Milky Way that was nothing short of spectacular.Throughout our South African adventure, we have felt incredibly grateful and humbled by the wonderful teams we’ve met along the way, and Hog Hollow is very much a part of that lasting impression.A sincere thank you to the entire team for an outstanding and truly memorable stay.

    Stay at Hog Hollow, where you feel like family!

    I stayed at Hog Hollow for 6 nights with my husband and 3.5 year old child. This was part of a much longer trip on the Garden Route, and this hotel felt more like a home stay than a big chain hotel in the best possible way! The team of Hog Hollow are so welcoming, friendly, accommodating, and think of all the little details to make your stay extra special, even before you even thought of it yourself.From sweet treats on your pillow at night, beach toys for our daughter for the duration of our trip, a morning car wash, help booking reservations, general tips for making our stay wonderful, I could go on. We left giving the team a hug and generally appreciative for making us feel so welcome.Keep in mind you are 15-20 minutes outside Plettenburg Bay, which we liked because we were out of the hustle and bustle. Also, really close to Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Elephant Sanctuary, and big cat sanctuaries, so lots to do! Thank you Hog Hollow! We will definitely be back!
