    Great place, great location, loved the bunk beds in the shared rooms. They also have great private rooms, beautifully decorated (urban, calm, bright) and big.Loved the garden area and the community kitchen. And ofcourse the helpful, enthousiast and friendly staff!

    I actually went with a group, as in tour group. Okay. I am 66 years old. This place, while lovely in the morning on the front patio & coffee bar, is not appropriate for those past their 30s (generalization). The front patio becomes a bar by night, as does the 3rd floor front (maybe it's the 2nd floor?), also a patio, complete with BLASTING music, which does end by 11:00 p.m. If you don't care about sleeping with the music, etc., it's for you. I stayed there twice. The first time I was on the backside, not so bad aside from some conversations held in the back work area. The second time I was on the front with no way to escape the sounds that go with a young-crowd bar. I did have silicone earplugs which helped a lot, but not enough when I was staying on the front side. While the staff was extremely nice, they did not allow room changes.

    This hostel works very unserious. I booked a 10 days stay and an airport transfer at this place in Dec 2021. Because of Omikron I had to cancel the whole trip. Despite several emails with the request that they should refund me the transfer cost, they haven't responded to my emails and have not refunded the amount. Fortunately, I booked the accommondation through Hostelworld and received the money. From this hostel I probably would not have received the overnight costs. Everyone hast to work for their money but this hostel makes money at the expense of others. If you expect a serious service avoid this hostel.

    It was so nice to stay in that hostel. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you for everything. The rooms are so clean so lovely. There is a bar beside the hostel and sometimes the music is so loud lol but I got used. I’ll come next time ah ah.

    I just want to take the opportunity to say thank you to the wonderful ladies at Once in Cape Town , for backpacker accommodation they really went above what is expected.Check-in was seamless and fast. Covid screening was done upon arrival and when I got to the room it was really more then what I was expecting to be honest. As I did not want to be around to many people the ladies at the reception gave me the option to sit in the court yard which has a nice cozy fireplace and nice common area. Michaela and Jeanine was so helpful cause I had a lot of questions. Nice surrounding area with a cozy restaurant attached to the place. All in all I was very satisfied and would definitely return.
