  The location of coures is perfect, as you are 700 meters from the international airport. Rooms are clean, very small, but offers everything you need for one night before flying. 'Beds are comfi, but it is all in all very noisy. As people choose this hotel, because they need to leave early in the morning, during the night, you can hear every five minutes a door banging, people speaking or even screaming, scrolling baggages through the corridor so don't expect a quiet sleep. Dinner at the Hotel restaurant was okay, but not the best and a little overpriced. Staff very friendly. Attention: the hotel offers you a shuttle to the airport, it costs 160 Rand - the reception did not tell me that. I would say to expensive for what is offered.   This hotel overbooks!

  We had received a confirmation email for our reservation. When we arrived, the receptionist told us that since we hadn't responded to the email asking us to reconfirm our stay, they had canceled our reservation because they had accepted other reservations in the meantime and the hotel was full. We had to spend the night in the hotel lobby. No compensation was offered. In our booking terms, non-guaranteed reservations are released at 4:00 PM if we have not received payment confirmation. Prior to that time, we attempted to contact you by phone and email to confirm whether you would still be arriving, but unfortunately, we could not receive any response or reply. Because we were unable to reach you and did not receive payment confirmation, the room could not be held beyond the policy time and was released in line with our standard terms & conditions. We recommend that guests expected to arrive after 4:00 PM, secure the booking with pre-payment, which can be done at the reservation stage when one books online, bank EFT or we can provide a payment link.It’s still however unfortunate that this was your experience and that we could not assist with another available room because we were fully booked.   The service received on the first day from the manager or supervisor was very poor. I have planned to stay for a month or two, I had to find an alternative place.   Road Lodge does the job

  We needed to stay somewhere that was close to the airport for an early morning international flight and the Road Lodge did the job. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room itself was smallish but was fine for an overnight stay. Contrary to some reviews, soap and a shampoo/body wash bar was provided in the bathroom. Food at the restaurant was good. The only negative was that our room was very close to reception and was a bit noisy.Access to the airport on foot is easy - the staff can give you directions, but once in the airport grounds it is signposted. The route takes an underpass under the very busy airport ring road, and then goes across the car rental parking area. It may be gated at night but certainly OK to access by day. Most of it is covered too, helpful if the weather is wet.   The heater had a bad smell when I turned it on.. other than that everything was all good. The breakfast pack was great and was prepared very well.
