    The hotel is truly amasing. A breath of fresh air in modern accommodation. Friendly ,dedicated staff, especially Peter, always ready to help, good advice on sightseeing and tourist activities. The hotel is right amongst the city and waterfront with numerous attractions and bars and restaurants right at your feet. Breathtaking view of the harbour,city centre and the sun settling on table mountain in the evening.

    Bad,After making a two-night reservation, I discovered upon arrival that the Lodge had a limited number of parking spaces, which was not mentioned on Booking.com. I was instructed to park my car outside when I got there, and throughout the night, my rear left glass was smashed. They said they were not responsible for the expenses. They denied any liability in the incident and said it took place off their premises. I asked for a refund the next day so I could make a reservation somewhere else that would be safer, but they wouldn't give it to me.having to spend the second day there with my car without a window was terrible for me.

    This hotel appears as a 4 star hotel, which is far from the truth. The hotel is located in an unsafe area, at the top of a steep hill where many of the neighbors live in tin sheds. An unsafe area where I did not want to enter after dark. The hotel has a nice view, that's the only nice thing I can say about this hotel. The rooms are very small and cramped, the bathrooms are very small and appear very unappetizing due to poor maintenance over many years. The bathrooms are also very old-fashioned with a separate switch for water on the wall, which you must first open before choosing water for the sink or shower. There was a musty smell in both rooms we had. The hotel building is cramped with many strange constructions that did not make the experience any better. We should have stayed there for 4 days, but moved out after 1 night. They have their own, very tight, parking lot on the hotel grounds.

    NOT Bike Friendly in a City renowned for the biggest cycling event in the World...go figure.

    Everyone knows Cape Town as a cycle friendly City yet this Hotel is not and they didn't consider it relevant nor necessary to state this up front. I had fully paid for 2 separate days only to be told that my bike and bike box needs to be left out in the open...shocking. I didn't stay for a single night and one would have thought that in the interest of good customer services, they would have made a gesture with a part refund, but nope, they told me that I should not have assumed that they would be bike friendly. Shocking and callus approach to customer services.
