Location

    Things could be improved with this hotel.Initially on arrival the foyer is bright and clean with plenty of staff around.to assist. The checking in process was quite slow but when we got to the rooms they were large but the lighting in the rooms is terrible. There are no main lights which make it dark and dingy.This needs addressing as once night falls it's hard to see in the roomThe tap came off in my hand when running the bath.The television isnt well placed should you want to watch it in bed.Our cups weren't replaced so couldnt have a cup of tea in the morning Buffet breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice.Evening meals are available alsoThey could do with more staff on the bar as when busy had quite a long wait.Overall very good for the short time we stayed but there are things which need addressing and updating

    If you're nostalgic about the 90s, when WiFi did not exist, this is your hotel. The WiFi reception in most rooms switches from unbelievably terrible to unavailable.Luckily it's located within walking distance or a short ride from many amenities so you can leave your zero-WiFi room & go experience & appreciate the outdoors like your ancestors once did.

    We stay here for four days.Rooms are ok.Rooms may be needs some modifications for enhancing decor.The only trouble i feel is that bathroom have overhead shower 🚿 only in bathtub not separately. It's seems difficult to get in and out of tub as there is nothing for support for going in and out.Maybe It's trouble for me but for someone It's nothing. Rest all ok.Situated in good location.

    Service it’s very good we were served by the waitress called Asemahle she was very good to us I went there with my family we were happy about everything until this rude girl come not sure if she is a waitress or manager her name must be Noviwe if am not mistaken couldn’t get chance to read the name she just a big dark girl who was wearing white shirt n blue Jean yesterday …we couldn’t understand when she chasing customers like that telling us they are closed while she can see we didn’t finish our drinks n my dad was trying to get an Uber so the way she was rude we have to end up going outside while it’s not safe

    Quite frankly it didn't start off well when booking this hotel which we opted to do directly as opposed to using 3rd party sites. Get proper comprehensive answers from the reservations person was worse than pulling teeth! for a moment i wondered if language was the problem.....anywhooo we jumped through the hoops eventually and finalized the booking.The hotel is centrally located, you can't go wrong when booking here as everything, literally everything i.e. supermarkets, malls, eateries, retail stores are all a stones throw away. If travelling for tours you can get the Hop on, hop off bus at a stop on Long Street, about 400m away....literally, everything was in close proximity and this is a very big plus.We travelled at peak season, so the hotel was pretty full most of the time, but it had a good vibe to it meeting all the nationalities that were present there. The rooms are quite spacious as shown in their photos....abit dated but clean and decent. The views....uuuh! be sure to request for the mountain view rooms...its a beautiful sight to wake up to every morning. A small downside is that the soundproofing is almost non-existent so you better be a heavy sleeper especially when the rooms above you flush their toilet or you hear the knocking on the neighbour's door. It's not a deal breaker but, something to note.Other than the one reservations person, the staff were pretty friendly and a special shout-out to Evan at front desk and Justin who was a delightful soul at the restaurant. Top-tier humans and always willing to help. They serve buffet breakfast every morning until 10.30am, quite sizeable with a good enough variety so that was good. The surrounding area was also pretty safe, and we walked around pretty much but as they say, be vigilant at all times. There was a shuttle to V&A on a daily basis, this was a welcome service that really eased our movement but be sure to note the timings, as it didn't run in the mornings on the weekdays we were there.There were other amenities at the hotel like the gym and the teeny tiny swimming pool (more like a sauna bath) which we didn't get to experience but are included in your stay.I would recommend this hotel whether travelling for business or even holiday with family and the price point was equally friendly.
