This hotel is located on the Spier Estate on the famous Cape wine route. With its picturesque Cape Dutch homestead linking it to a fascinating past, this establishment stands on the banks of the Eerste River, near the historic town of Stellenbosch and is just 20 minutes’ drive from Cape Town International Airport.

Facility

155 rooms and 4 suites are available. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     We lost around $500 due to a booking dispute with this hotel, and we hope the hotel management will finally contact us to properly resolve this situation.We chose this room specifically because the listing and photos advertised fireplaces and a romantic atmosphere for our anniversary stay. After arrival, we discovered that the fireplaces were not working, which made the room very different from what had been presented online.The manager verbally informed us that one night would be refunded if we shortened our stay. Based on this information, we adjusted our reservation. However, Booking.com later told us that the refund had never been officially approved by the hotel, and only partial compensation was offered through the platform.What made the experience especially disappointing was spending several hours trying to resolve the issue during our anniversary evening instead of enjoying our stay.We would appreciate it if hotel management could review this case and contact us directly to resolve the remaining dispute fairly.
