    The hotel is looking tired. This is a three-star, well-positioned just out of the CBD, with good amenities nearby. Rooms are fairly sized, bathrooms are clean at a glance, but then when you spend time in there, you realize that they compete in a class just above public toilets. The white glove test would not have worked here or in the room. Breakfast choice standard three-star selection. I enjoyed a room service curry.     Very good choice for a city hotel

    We stayed here with a family of 3. Nice city hotel, very spacious rooms and friendly service. The breakfast shows a great variety, also for kids. The bar is very nice for a good wine. The cocktails are available, but not excellent. There is little room for improvement. Apart from that, a very good place (with a heated pool!).     We spent three nights here on a group tour.Our second floor room had a pleasant view over the garden/pool area. (The other side of the hotel looks towards Table Mountain.) Despite being near a road, we were not aware of any noise in the room. The room and bathroom were adequate in all respects, very well-equipped, and (most importantly) very clean. Excellent shower. Effective air-conditioning. Daily room servicing was of a high standard.The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of hot and cold choices, including eggs/omelettes cooked to order.The bar (and also the restaurant) seemed to be open most of the day. There is a pleasant lounge/terrace area overlooking the gardens and pool, where you can sit with a drink. It is efficiently run, and they give you copies of the bills you sign to the room.We had a buffet dinner here on one evening of our stay, which was very good.Reception staff were generally friendly and helpful. (One male staff member was particularly helpful, but unfortunately I didn’t make a note of his name.) Check-in and check-out were straightforward. We were able to keep the room late on our day of departure (before a late flight) for a modest charge.There was nothing to fault in our stay here!
