    Fantastic little hotel in a lovely colourful and vibrant area of Cale Town- used as a base for loads of Cape Town activities .Spar shop at end of street, lots of bars and restaurants next to hotel. Beautiful rooms and rooftop pool/ bar. Fantastic staff all very friendly couldn’t do enough for us - laundry service available .Recommend Gold Restaurant nearby for African 14 course meal with entertainment - pre booking essential . Will be telling my friends who plan a Cape Town trip about this hotel.Room 9 was lovely and quiet

    The Grey hotel is located in the Waterkant area. It’s like a little village inside the city and very safe. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes in the area with security guards so it’s safe to walk around in this neighborhood.The hotel itself is a very nice boutique hotel. I had room 3 which has a nice terrace with a beautiful view of Table mountain. The room is spacious enough, nicely decorated and comes with airco and a little fridge. If you want to have a coffee/tea maker in the room you have to pay for it. The only thing they need to change is the artwork on the wall. The room is right below the rooftop terrace which is open until 10pm. Until that time it can be very noisy, it didn’t bother me though.The staff is wonderful. Especially Lungi, Marieke and the lady that serves breakfast (I don’t know her name) are great. Lungi and Marieke went out of their way to help me book tours, recommend restaurants etc. Breakfast was good. The lady that serves breakfast always remembered my coffee order so my espresso was already in the making before I sat down. 😊All in all, this is a wonderful hotel with the best staff. I would come back here any time and definitely recommend it.

    Stayed here one night having stayed elsewhere in Cape Town earlier in the holiday and regretted not booking for longer here instead. Great location within easy walking distance of V&A Waterfront. Lovely, quirkily decorated spotlessly clean rooms and a great roof top pool and bar area. Breakfast was lovely as well - would highly recommend

    As always the Grey Hotel was fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Skybar Staff are fantastic and the bar snacks were delicious and the bar itself is great, with such lovely view. I also used the Hotel shuttle service from the airport which was so great. The driver was friendly and I felt safe (women on my own). Yes, I am back next year!!

    My Hotel Room was comfortable, neat, clean and adequate for my one night stay there. I loved the little balcony.The Hotel was undergoing renovations and nowhere did they indicate that when I made the booking. There was no meals served and no drinks bar available (only the bar fridge in my room - Room4). I booked a hotel room and not a self-catering facility and expected to be able to have a meal there, not to have to search hfor a good restaurant.I do believe the renevations were highly due, but they should indicate this on their booking portals.
