    We enjoyed our stay, rooms are clean and gets cleaned every day. Pleasant and helpful staff. Food was excellent, So much to eat and well prepared. We enjoyed every moment. Very safe as well.

    Carpet is dirt all the way from entrance of the building, up the stairs to the rooms, towels missing, hangers missing, TV unplugged

    A pleasant rustic hotel with adequate facilities including coffee/tea making facilities and nice shower although safe didn't work and we had to hand our passports over for safe keeping. It is a little tired but we enjoyed the ambience and the staff were pleasant and helpful and there was a lovely breakfast.

    The entrance proclaims Turnberry Boutique Hotel ****. What a disappointment. Our "double room" at 32 sq.m. with a extra long queen bed should have been a single. (My fault for not realising how small it was.) I phoned and asked to book for dinner at the restaurant. On arrival we were informed that the "restaurant' was not open for dinner and we had been booked at a restaurant "round the corner" some 500m away. The barman in the hotel pub was totally untrained. It took us 20 minutes to get 4 G & T,s. First he had to fetch ice, then unflavoured tonic water which was not cold and finally lemon, each involving a visit to the main hotel. The one waitress serving in the breakfast room (the restaurant!) could hardly cope. The reception staff were dour. (Is that the Scottish heritage!) The awards from The Chaine de Rotisseurs in the restaurant is evidence of a 4 star past. Unfortunately it's long past. I give it a generous 2 star rating.
