    Perfect Location in a beautiful setting. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room, although well equipped and beautifully furnished, is in need of some maintenance. The drain cover in the shower was loose and considering the sharp edges could easily hurt someone. But overall a very pleasant stay.

    What you see online is not what you get .I was expecting a stunning room with modern finishes as per pictures but instead got a very old big room with furniture that looked 50 years old.Not worth the price I paid at all.Excellent location though.

    The location is lovely, however, the accommodation is in very poor shape, dripping taps, loose decking boards, poor quality towels, indifferent attitude of staff, leaking Bidet.

    We stayed for two weeks, when most people stay for just a couple of days. We used our time in Franschoek to visit many of the local wineries and Val d' Or is perfect to do so. It is four miles from the centre, but Uber taxis are very cheap and you don't want to visit wineries and drive! Take time to visit the motor museum and Babylonstoren. The staff are wonderful and the accomodation is excellent.

    After reading some reviews we were a bit concerned.The room we had (owners suite) was large, comfortable and very clean.The small swimming pool just outside was lovely.The breakfast was fine and the staff very friendly and helpful.The grounds were interesting with great selection of plants and the main swimming pool was clean and pleasant.As with many other reviews the main downside is the general lack of maintenance around the place. Part of our group stayed in a large self contained house which had broken tiles all over the patio area.I think that the lack of staff after hours and no security was an issue for some of our party.Having said that we liked the general atmosphere of the place and would stay again.
