    We chose this hotel for the location and price. It is right in the middle of the Hongdae shopping district. It is a contemporary hotel, quite cosy in size and decor.The room is clean and simple. It is a walking distance to a lot of the main places we wanted to explore plus close to public transport.Definitely recommend.

    Horrible - lights kept us up all night long

    Terrible experience. We canceled a different (cheaper) hotel at the last minute because it was the night before a very long travel day back to Los Angeles, and we thought 9Brick looked like a more elevated, comfortable place to get a good night's sleep. Wow, were we wrong. There is a motion-sensor activated safety light in the entrance to the room that turned on automatically every time we so much as shifted the comforter on the bed in the middle of the night. It was soooo awful - kept us awake all night long. When I told the front desk in the morning, they refused to compensate us in any way for the issue. With an incredibly long travel day ahead of us, getting no sleep was extremely disappointing. They also don’t have blackout curtains even though the amenities list included them. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but our room looked nothing like the pictures; it was very basic. And, call me crazy, but at minimum, I think any hotel room should offer a dark, comfortable place to sleep. This place could not accomplish that.

    The hotel has a great location with easy access to public transport, which is definitely a plus.However, the room felt noticeably outdated. There was an unpleasant smell when I first entered the shower area, which left a bad impression.That said, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

    zero service very average and needs a facelift

    This place in its day looked good the continuous video in the lift showed this, however its day is gone!The service was zero a nice place to chill zero and breakfast below zeroYou had two options for breakfast American or Korean and it seemed pre prepared so maybe zapped in a microwave and the young man serving had an I don’t care attitude We opted for a slice of toast as the American was so bad and every day we asked for a knife to spread butter which got us a non understanding scowlThe front office struggled to say good morning. We booked with Expedia as it was recommended I don’t know who by as it had the feeling of a back packers hotelThe nicest part was the lobby, really dissatisfied

    For its price, it offers EXCELLENT value for money because the room is spacious, the bathroom is spacious, the toilet has a modern bidet, there is rainshower, the hotel is located in a GREAT location a block away from the pedestrianized street where there is shopping, food, and most importantly… STREET PERFORMERS! I highly recommend this hotel. PS. One slight improvement opportunity is for there to be a glass door in the bath area so that the water won’t get everywhere when taking a shower. But i was able to avoid that from happening by being very careful with the placement of the handheld shower before turning on the knob. Other than this (which is manageable), it was an absolutely excellent stay!
