  Daewoo inn is run by a very nice couple who go out of their way to help their guests. The hotel itself is a bit hard to find, even the taxi driver had trouble locating it since it’s in a very small alley. When booking an Uber, I actually gave them the hotel across the street as reference instead (Travelodge Myeondong City Hall hotel). The best way to get to the hotel is to take an airport bus to Plaza Hotel, go to the back of the hotel and enter the street alley (next to Dunkin Donuts), turn left where you’ll see a 7-11 at end of street. Halfway down the street, turn right at the tiny alley, which is where the hotel entrance is.The hotel offers free coffee and has a water cooler. Drawback is that there is no kettle in the room, and even though they offered a water bottle flask, it doesn’t retain heat so hard to make my own tea. The room itself is very warm, a common issue I found with my Korean hotels where they were too warm and you couldn’t control the temperature. Bathroom has a wet shower, which is a bit troublesome since water gets everywhere and there was no shower mat.Location is great given its proximity to Namdaemun market and Myeondong shopping, and price point is very good.

  Decent, you get what you pay for!

  Hotel is what you expect with the cost. The location is great! The rooms and bathroom is pretty small, but I was fine with it. Reception were very nice and welcoming! Only thing that raised my eyebrow for me was one day the housekeeper didn’t shut the door all the way to my room. I was gone majority of the day and when I got back the door wasn’t locked. I thought I maybe I left it that way, but the room was made and cleaned so that’s how I knew. But nothing was taken and everything was still there. No harm no foul! Basically my stay was decent. The location made up for it! Note the hotel is located in an alley way! Walked around twice and couldn’t find it! I had to call to locate it.

  The location is great! Walking distance to Myeong Dong. Near the subway, easy access for foods. Walking distance to the City Hall. The only thing is that the bathroom was clogged. We had water stuck after shower. The other thing is that whenever we left cups, it is not washed when the do the housekeeping. Looks like we need to do it ourselves. But anyway, good price and location.

  I gave this a high rating based on what I needed in Seoul: just a night of sleep in a clean, cheap room, close to the metro. And for the $30 I paid, this place did exactly that. Location is stellar, a few mins walk from City Hall station (which is serviced by 2 lines), steps away from several restaurants and cafes, and just down the street from Namdaemun. Staff were really friendly and efficient, maybe the fastest check-in and check-out ever, which was great because I was in a rush both times. My room was small but I really wasn't expecting much, I like that it was quiet since I just wanted a good night's sleep. Above all, I felt this was tremendous value for the money.

  Lovely budget hotel

  Was really surprised at the amenities of this hotel. Great location, only a few minutes walk to the subway. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped with a mini bar, tv and free wifi. The floors are heated too which a big plus especially after a long day of sight seeing. We'd definitely stay here again. Breakfast was included and delicious. A good range to choose from with Korean and western style food to suit everyone.
