  Very cheap and affordable price for a one night stay in Seoul. Stayed one night at the 8-Bed Female Dormitory Room. Reception staff was very nice and agreed to print a few pages for me for free. My only small issue was with the female dorm bathroom, the shower were the ones where the water comes out for 3 ish seconds every time you press it. There were no hangers or hooks, so it was difficult for me to get changed. I believe there were also 1-2 mosquitos in my stall at one point, and I had mosquito bites the day after. But considering the cheap affordable price, I cannot complain much.

  1.Unhygienic. Can't flush used toilet paper in WC, have to throw in separate vin. Imagine the smell and bacteria.2.Toilet and shower room doors are matt glass. Can see through if close enough. No privacy! Guest in room can see person showering or using toilet. 3. Room is so small u can't even open your luggage on the floor.4. Bed sheet has holes in it. 5. Poor location. In the middle of hardware shops and wholesalers of spare parts.6. We, parents and son, left the hotel 1 hour after check in cos its unlikeable. Hotel refused to refund us. We were stressed as we have to look for another hotel last minute. Totally ruined our holiday. 7. BE WARNED. AT BEST 1* HOTEL! I paid usd 140 for a bunker bed room which is not cheap. Much better hotels elsewhere in seoul

  An honest review. In between a hostel and hotel

  The other reviews describing this place as more of a hostel is accurate. It is somewhat between a hostel and a hotel. There’s a front desk if having staff on-site important to you and breakfast is provided. Microwave, sitting area and washer is available right beside the lobby. Location wise, this place is great. It’s a short walk from the metro and bus stop that took us to many tourist spots. The breakfast selection is very small but decent given the price. There are fried rice, hotdog, mandu, coleslaw, banana, yoghurt, cereal, hard boiled egg, bread, jam, milk, orange juice and coffee machine. Throughout our stay, it’s the same food offered except that the kimchi fried rice rotated with non-spicy fried rice. Personally I enjoyed the breakfast as I was not expecting it. I like having eggs and banana for breakfast. Sometimes we skipped breakfast as it didn’t start early enough when my friends and I headed further out (e.g. to Nami Island). I stayed with 2 friends (3 ladies in total) in a room with a bunk bed and a single bed. Thanks to the bed ledge, we had plenty of space for daily essentials.I can see why some reviews said there wasn’t enough space for luggage to be placed on the floor.We are 3 petite agile Asian ladies so it worked for us (need to squat in a tight space to get belongings from the luggage). We had 3 check in luggage and managed to put our luggages side by side. My hand carry luggage had to go under the bed due to the lack of space.Read the signs carefully everywhere you go in Korea. In this hotel, the used toilet paper cannot be thrown into the toilet bowl. There’s a bin provided beside the toilet bowl for soiled toilet paper. Hence every morning, we would fill up a slip of paper at the lobby area to request for our room to be cleaned (bins cleared). One of our biggest qualms was the bathroom doors where you can see the silhouette of bathroom users very clearly. Perhaps the hotel may want to consider pasting some kpop posters (anything opaque) over the door for bathroom privacy. And pls include some hooks on the door for hanging of clothes, we got around using hangers plus hanging clothes on the door as a privacy screen.Another downside is the size of towels provided which are what I would consider hair towels.If this hotel’s location and budget fits your needs, why not? Some tips are given in this review. Overall I feel that it’s clean and there’s no weird sewer smell from the bathroom.

  Winter in Seoul

  Location is nice. It’s very near Dongmyo Stn. The hotel is very comfy and warm. We don’t need the A/C at all. The space of the room is okay and the bathroom although at first I felt uncomfy because it’s a tinted glass dividing to the room, but it’s fine I guess. My only complain is the breakfast timing, it’s 8am-10am. Most hotels schedule their bfast from6am and as a tourist, we leave the hotel at 7-8am. We only use the bfast voucher on the last day.

  Amazing location at the heart of Seoul

  The rooms were clean but very small. Western sensibilities will be challenged with regards to room size but the rooms are clean. The location can't be beat. You're right near Namdaemun Market and the Seoul subway and transit system. Breakfast is provided daily so that's helpful. Recommended for solo travelers or those who are comfortable with being very cozy with each other. The owner of the hotel can often be found working behind the desk so when you say hi, you may be talking to her. She was very kind.
