    Friendly staff; Good first hotel in Seoul

    I stayed here for four nights right after getting off an extremely long flight from Canada (yay for flights booked on points!). Decided to deviate from my usual routine of getting a cheap dormitory bed in a hostel and got a private room to recuperate from the jetlag. I opted for this place as it seemed to offer the best value when considering privacy, location, and price.One of the best parts of my stay at this hotel was the front desk staff. I arrived around 9 am, which is way before check in time. However, the man working the front desk (who seems to work everyday, all day) allowed me to check in early! On another day when I was eating in the cafe/coffee area, the same manager shared some of his lunch with me, letting me sample new dishes and explained how to properly eat a Kimchi dish. Hotel Pros: Coffee available in the morning (make your own instant), knowledgeable and friendly staff, location is great for getting around the city - Near metro lines 2,4, and 5 I believe, rooms are a good size for the price you pay, room and bathroom were clean, free and fast wifi throughout the building, super close to multiple convenience stores, restaurants and shopping (check out Dongdaemun market!), free laundry (I think you bring your own detergent, but if not you can buy detergent from the front desk for less than 1$).Cons: One of the things that I missed in this place was a central location for people to hang out and connect! However, this place is a hotel not a hostel so it's not really fair to fault this and if you hang out in the kitchen/eating area the front desk staff is more than friendly. There is no desk in the room - I planned to get a bit of computer work done while in Seoul but decided to go to a café to do it, which is not really a huge issue since there are cafes all around the hotel.(Some advice for anyone coming here on the subway and not familiar with Seoul: If you have luggage take the elevator up as far as you can, there are a TON of stairs. Honestly though, that goes for pretty much every subway stop in the city).Overall, would highly recommend. But one of the things I would say is expect what you are paying for. Before I stayed here I saw that other reviews were disappointed by the lack of space in the rooms. However, I found the amount of room perfectly acceptable, especially for how much I was paying.

    nice place, near from subway station line 1&4room was cleaning and good staffthey will cleaning room when we request to them. For 5 days, i feel satisfied stay in kpop residence dongdaemunits really strategis place, near with good morning city, doota, dongdaemun design plaza (DDP) and many place.

    I have visited to this hostel for two times, and both in August. The staff there are multilingual (Mandarin, English, Korean). They are very helpful and nice, always help me to collect parcels. Although the twins bed room is very tiny, the environment is good.

    The hotel is cheap and nice . The room is very clean and everything is new. Even though the room is small .But good is the bed is big . The floor is warn. And is very near to walk to all the shopping central . Good location. And nice service . Give the rated is full . :)) If I come Korea again . Maybe will choose here again .

    Has great accessibility, 10 minute walk from DDP and the station. The room was small but was expected and was tidy. All the utilities, mainly microwave at the main lounge was very convenient to use. Staff was very kind too.
