    A really nice room

    rating30 Oct 2025

I spent my last 3 nights in Seoul here. For some reason there are no recent reviews on here for the hotel, and all the ones that do show are all pretty negative. Id like tosay that they dont represent how the hotel is now, so I guess its had a makeover in the last year. That said...the room I was initially given had a smell of damp and was very small and quite "standard", within a couple of hours there was a leak in the ceiling into my bathroom and I was given another room to switch too, and that room was soooo much nicer than the original. With a quirky design of having a "tree" in the room and also the bath in the main room too, it had 4 small windows in the room which was an interesting feature. It had all the modcons that you can expect in a decent korean hotel. Reception were helpful and I got a very reasonably prices late check out.Id stay here again - ask for room 906 !

    Unpleasant experience

    rating08 Nov 2024

Our room was tiny, very dark, and the mattress was very hard. We asked for another room, or at least for more pillows or blankets to make the mattress softer but they wouldn't give us anything and refused to change us to another room. The only good thing is its location.

    Not recommend

    rating27 Mar 2024

We booked the "deluxe double room" for 7 nights. We were lucky to have a modern design with a tub and a 'cool' tree. Room size is small with luggages. Bathroom is super small, not really clean but the bidet was nice. Heater did not really heat well. Pillows + bed was solid rock hard. No cafe/breakfast in the lobby but food available to purchase and access to microwave only. Location is 15-20min walk to Myeongdong Shopping street & 10-15mins to Gwangjang Night Market. There are also a lot of nearby yummy restaurants. We experience some incidence; came back to the hotel with a black out at 10pm after exploring all day (no electricity/water) & had to go up 10 flights of stairs. Electricity/water didnt return until 2am the next day. Then our key card did not work the next day, we told the front desk lady who sent a staff to open our room for access. Before we left for the day we checked if our key card was fixed but it wasn't and we told front desk again, who was a bit rude and abruptly told us "i already told you" but didn't really explain anything. The staff took the key, i assumed that meant they would fix it but came back and the key card still did not work. Staff had to unlock our room with their key again + told us the key was expired? so they reset it. No compensation was given for the inconvenience despite us paying an extra night since our flight wasn't until 9pm. The good things: room service, massive TV with Netflix/Disney, staff were overall nice/friendly - they helped us book a taxi and airport shuttle. Overall, I wouldn't recommend.

    Affordable and very convenient

Location is superb. You can walk to Insadong 5 min , palace 30 min, Mteongdong 20 min and Bukcheon Village is right next to the palace. As for hotel, I find it clean and quite nice. Reasonable price and there are plenty of restaurants around. It's not flashy as Hongdae or Gangam but I wouldn't have stayed there anyways. There are no restaurants in the hotel but there are plenty of coffee shops around.

Weird feeling - like an industrial warehouse converted room

    rating18 Feb 2019

If this is your first time to Seoul and/or you do not speak Korean, I probably would not recommend this hotel as it is hard to find and secondly, surrounding area restaurants and amenities is not catered to the English speaking crowd. Need to go through an alleyway to get to the front entrance of hotel.Front desk and lobby looked lovely. It was the room layout and design that bothered me. No standard window but geometrically laid out square box windows that looked outside. Secondly, bathroom had a nice bathtub but there is no shower curtain so I ended up having to do a sitting shower so that the floor does not get flooded.
