  Wonderful staying in Seoul

  In practically every way, this is a top-notch hotel that meets every guest's needs with excellence. The location is perhaps the best in all of Seoul, directly overlooking the central plaza of City Hall, the subway just a few meters from the entrance, and a rear entrance on a local street packed with restaurants, pubs, and various clubs. The subway (exit 6) is served by the highly useful Lines 1 (the southwest-northeast diametrical line that also reaches Incheon) and 2, the urban circular line that directly serves almost all of the city's must-see attractions. The City Hall stop is just one stop on Line 1 from Seoul Central Station, which is also the terminal for the AREX high-speed train that connects to the ICN intercontinental airport. There is also a bus stop around the corner, served by numerous lines, including the main tourist routes. The building is luxurious and modern, with splendid, sumptuous interiors and a futuristic design. The room wasn't huge for a hotel of this caliber (but it wasn't small either), but it was comfortable, always clean, technologically advanced, and equipped with every convenience. The spaces were ergonomically designed, and the bathroom was sparkling, featuring both a bathtub and a shower. Breakfast was plentiful and high-quality, and there was also a gym and pool available. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive, ready to accommodate even the most unusual requests. For example, when I first arrived, my credit cards were having trouble being recognized by automatic machines like subway ticket machines and ATMs. A very kind receptionist personally loaded my weekly public transport pass onto the card, and she also provided me with cash that I couldn't withdraw. The staff speaks English fluently (which is not a given in Korea). Highly recommended!

  Good with- Location (nearby attractions like city hall, shopping, place)- Good hospitality: Thanks to the Captain for his good hospitality although I met him by chance.- Quality of Club Lounge incl. evening Hors d'oeuvre (LA ribs)- The bathroom with an automatic smartlet with cleansing, bidet and drying functions- Welcome amenity- Complimentary Valet parking for many options- Airport Limousie.

  We stayed 4 nights at the Plaza and it was good. The location is excellent, but the twin rooms are very small. The breakfast at the lounge was average. Good hotel but not 5 stars in my view.

  The public spaces in this hotel are excellent. The staff are exceptionally polite and efficient, if not quite welcoming. The place smells incredible (there’s a whole scent museum on site). Breakfast was adequate, and expensive if not included in the room rate. The rooms are a little dated—very modern in their style, very small. Not uncomfortable. But not the height of luxury anymore. THe hotel is very well located for the main attractions—the palace complexes, the shopping areas, temples, and the night markets. The lantern festival was still in full swing while we were there, and it is very accessible from the hotel and probably my favorite thing in Seoul. We stayed here primarily because it is a Marriott property, and while the location can’t be beat there are more luxurious options.

  Dear Plaza Hotel Seoul Team,I would like to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful staff at The Plaza Seoul for making our family stay from 22 December to 31 December such a memorable and pleasant experience.We stayed at the hotel for a year-end holiday and to celebrate our daughter’s 8th birthday, and from the very beginning until the end of our stay, the service we received was exceptional.I would especially like to recognize J-Yul, one of your bell staff, who consistently went above and beyond to assist us. He brought such positive energy every day and was always eager to help. We offered him tips on several occasions, but he kindly declined, saying that helping guests was simply part of his job and that he was happy to do so. His attitude truly reflects the spirit of hospitality.Another very special mention goes to Laura Kang from customer service. I spoke with her several evenings, and she made our daughter’s birthday incredibly special. The handwritten note, thoughtful handmade hat, and birthday cake were such personal and touching gestures. She truly went the extra mile to make our daughter feel celebrated and happy, something our family will never forget.I would also like to thank Concierge Lin Lee, who was extremely helpful when we encountered booking issues. She handled everything efficiently and also assisted us with arranging transportation, which made things much easier for our family.While the hotel may not be the newest, the people and the level of service are absolutely second to none. That said, I would like to share some honest feedback: housekeeping consistency varied depending on the staff member. However, on certain days, the housekeeping was exceptionally meticulous and impressive. Small details—such as thoughtfully arranging my skincare items and placing a towel underneath to keep them dry—made a big difference and brought big smiles. These thoughtful touches truly stood out.Overall, our experience at The Plaza Seoul was outstanding, and it is because of the people who work there. Thank you for creating such a warm, welcoming, and memorable stay for our family. We look forward to returning in the future.
