QUIET AREA ; CONVENIENT LOCATION NEAR SUBWAY

    rating21 Feb 2023

PROS: 1. Subway station Exit 1 (Seonyudo)is just a few steps away. 2. Clean rooms and bathroom (with heated toilet seats and automatic flush/bidet) 3. In-house cafe Tous Tous; convenient for breakfast especially during -17C weather :) ; freshly baked bread! 4. Free hand warmers in the front desk (til supplies last) 5. Lots of local restos and cafes around the area. Quiet and safe; not touristy at all. 6. No Brand supermarket (right across the hotel), Olive Young, GS Fresh (fruits are cheaper here compared to those in Myeongdong vendors) are also a few steps away. 7. Front desk staff can speak a little English and are quite helpful. 8. You may leave luggage after checkout. 9. Bottled water and fresh towels are supplied everyday. 10. With the usual hotel room amenities (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. but in very small bottles and will only be replenished if consumed; toothbrush/toothpaste included too). CONS 1. If you have plenty of luggage, room space is limited. We booked the Deluxe Family room for 3. We had 3 big luggage and 3 small ones. We managed to fit them all by rearranging their bulky chairs and tables. 2. Although the subway station is just a few steps away from the hotel doorstep, the metro line requires plenty of transfers if you are going to the touristy areas; lots of walking during line transfers. 3. Closet space is too small and poorly lit. the bathroom and the closet share the same door; no hooks inside the bathroom to hang used towels ; 4. There is no whole body view mirror. There is a small horizontal mirror though, which is enough to see your face.

Was going to be 4 stars..

    rating11 Jan 2020

I downgraded a star because of check out. Before that, everything was good. I got placed on the 13th floor. Room was small but bathroom was decent size. Mine only had a shower stall and no bathtub unlike others. I liked the modern look of this hotel and room. However, the day before check out, I asked how much it would cost for a late check out. The lady told me 11,000 won per hour up to 4:00pm. So I asked whether I have to let them know in advance and they said no. Just pay later. That night, I decided to ask again and a male worker gave me one free hour of late check out, which was a nice touch. The morning came, and I decided to call them at 12pm to let them know I wanted to extend until 3pm just in case. However, the phone had no English on it. I pressed every button but I couldn’t reach the front desk. I thought that should be okay still, because they didn’t need me to tell them in advance. 1:30pm comes along and I received a phone call telling me latest time to check out is at 2:00pm. That was absurd to me because the previous staff told me up until 4 was ok. You can’t expect to call me 30 minutes in advance and expect me to check out by 2. The lady told me because it was a weekend. What an excuse. The day before, a Friday, everyone knows that the next day is a Saturday but no staff informed me that it was impossible for a later check out. I kept telling her I just simply cannot leave by 2 because I just woke up. In the end, she allowed it, but it didn’t leave a good impression. Other than that, I will stay again, but will confirm with them to make sure I can check out at a certain time. But another thing, was that the rooms were way too hot. Every morning, it went all the way past 31 degrees. I was sweating every night. Also, the light by the door.. never figured out how to turn it off. Even taking the card key out, the light remained on. Weird

    The State Sunyu

    rating04 Jan 2020

I went to Seoul and stayed at the hotel for the first 3 nights here. The hotel is new, but the lobby is small, not too many public seats. It has a cafe that opens until midnight so don't worries if you need some snacks at night. Rooms are a bit small but the equipment is very modern. Especially the bathroom, you can soak in a tub after a day of sightseeing under the cold winter in Korea. The location is not really that good as it takes at least 20 to 30 minutes to get to the center, although the hotel is only steps away from Seonyudo train station. Overall the hotel is suitable for short breaks, with very reasonable prices.

    Do the job

The hotel is nice and modern. The room was spacious (double superior at least), well equipped and clean. Unfortunately it was way too hot (between 28 and 31 celsius) and ventilation very noisy. The hotel is located next to metro station and bus station. However, the area is not very interesting

Great stay at a great hotel!

Superb hotel, very clean and the location is great as it’s close to the tube and busses. One young lady at reception spoke exceptional English and was so helpful! I highly recommend this hotel to international guests.
