A fabulous quiet couple of days

    rating10 Sept 2026

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. The location just outside the city means there is a real sense of peace and quiet about the place. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and beds are very comfortable. The spa treatments we both had are some of the most professional we have experienced. The hotel restaurant is Michelin quality and gave us the best meal of our stay - which was beyond expectations. Very much reflects Relais and Chateaux quality

    RELAX AND DO IT !!

    rating06 Sept 2026

Booked a one night stay at this quant boutique hotel. Very little to complain about here nice comftable room beautiful quirky decor and very friendly accomadating staff. We arrived at the hotel aprox 14.30 abd decided too have a quich lunch as we had a dinner reservation at the hotels michelin restaurant. Lunch was quite good tortilla served in two halves and cooked as requested. Also has the gazpaco which was a bit watery lacked the correct consistancy but af least was cold and refreshhing also did not come with the nornal toppings. As a person who swims everyday I was dissapointed with the outdoor pool being too cold eventhough the air temperature was 30° C. I was very dissapointed to find out that to use the indoor pool would cost me 30 euros per hour commencing at 11am and included inxa package I was not interested in purchasing. I onlyvwanted too swim and find it hard to undestand why the hotel makes these extra charges. The indoir pool is a amenity of the hotel and ax a paying guest should be able to use it without bejng pressred into purchasing a wellbeing package. In comparison to the NH Santiago they have both an outdoor and indoor heated pool open at 7am clses at 10pm with wet room and sauna and is free of charge. Breakdast at the Relais A Quinta da Agua was abundant and taken in a beautiful eelaxed room. Cooked breakfast and decaf made to order. All said and done a good choice for our first nights stay and worth a 4/5 because of the pool situation.Back in Galicia once moreFernando Nieto visiting from London

Dirty, with insects, and on one occasion it smelled of urine

    rating28 Jun 2026

I had a very negative experience at this hotel. The private spa was in poor condition (dirty, with insects, and on one occasion it smelled of urine). When I complained, the staff downplayed the issue and denied everything.I filed a formal complaint with Relais & Châteaux.More than a year later, they cancelled my confirmed reservation and banned me from the hotel, citing "serious incidents" during that stay.It seems quite clear that this is retaliation for having filed a complaint.I have now been waiting almost 24 hours without any meaningful response. The hotel is going worse over time, same price or higher with qualities doing down.Including personnel, which is at this point the main pain point of this place

    Curiosity shop

    rating20 Oct 2025

The reception looks like a somewhat tatty curiosity shop with worn old sofas.Although we booked a higher room category, they gave us a room on the 2nd floor which turned out to be the basement. The room, although it was spacious and mostly clean, had hardly any daylight and it must have been used by dog owners, which one could smell and also the armchair was so dirty that I immediately thought, how comfortable it must have been for someone's dog.Breakfast and dinner were good.
