  On arrival we were left waiting for a staff member before we could check in. Have to put personal details in a notebook register of guests which is left on the counter unattended, for anyone to see. The bedroom door handle was broken, room was filthy with tobacco left on the tables, half used bottle of shampoo left in bath and bath clearly hadn’t been cleaned. No hot water from taps or shower. Music from next room so loud at 3pm in the afternoon that the walls were vibrating. We left and booked a different hotel. Only plus to this place was the free parking with cctv.

  Rooms were clean and comfy, good for the price. Friendly staff at the front desk.Note, there can be a bit of noise from the bar downstairs but that usually goes round 12 so didn't bother me much but if you need an early night might be annoying.

  The radiator was on. Thats it! The room and the hotel needs a wash. The shower was no more than a trickle, the TV was not much bigger than my phone, there was nowhere to hang any clothes. In the morning when I wanted to leave, the door at the bottom of the stairs that I came through to get to my room the night before was locked! So I had to ring the hotel to come and open it! Bloke turned up in his pyjamas and said " you should have just left through the fire exit!" And left the room key on the windowsill. All in all this wasn't a pleasant stay, the place is on a main road and the room rattles when big vehicles go past. The pictures that advertise the rooms are very deceiving, the place needs dipping in paint as a starting point. The room was just shy of 40 quid so I get that it's not going to be 5 star but even so, it wasn't great 😒

  Old and dated but you do pay for what you get... economy rooms but kept clean and tidy by Vicky.. good bar area with a good selection of drinks. Good location in Gateshead for our works digs.. would stay again if working in the area again.......

  We needed a place to stay at short notice whilst we visited our daughter who lives very close to this hotel. The room was dated, and there was little water pressure in the shower but otherwise a good size and very well equipped. It was more than adequate given the price we were charged for our two night stay. The staff are lovely and made us feel very welcome in the bar. I would stay here again.
