Very unprofessional office people. Not trustworthy. We had booked our overnight stay and payment was made weeks prior to our stay. We were shuttled to the hotel along with 4 other couples that we didn't know. The other couples were checked in and when the employee got to us we were told they didn't have room so they would shuttle us 15 minutes away to a sister hotel which was further off the trail. They would pick us up at 7am for breakfast and shuttle us to The Camino after with their other guests. We were shocked that we didn't hear about the issue until check in. We asked why and was told our travel agent made some type of error. It was late in the day. We were hot and tired and didn't have any other options, so we stayed at the sister hotel they booked for us. When we arrived at that hotel we called our travel agent. She was livid. She didn't make any error. They had our funds and we did have a confirmed room. Our travel agent called Casa Rosalia and found out their staff made the error and didn't allocate a room for us. That is why they shuttled us and made the accommodations without calling our travel agent. Our travel agent had other options for us to stay if she had been notified but she wasn't. We met the other couples we checked in with on the trail the following day. We introduced ourselves and they said we were wondering how you were doing. They felt we were treated unprofessionally as well. They felt bad for us with the situation we were put in. When we returned home i emailed the hotel asking them to please clarify what went wrong so we don't find ourselves in that situation again. They didn't respond. i reached out again and said things happen and people make mistakes. It's important to be honest and own our mistakes. I said if they didn't respond i was going to write a review. So here it is. They aren't honest people. We would have understood a mistake and book an alternative with our travel agent.

Disappointing.

I’m going to write good and bad.First good.MIguel and the waitress with long black hair were so lovely at the restaurant.That’s about it.The place is tired and run down.The beds uncomfortable with old blankets, which , I do t think any hotel should be using in 2026.No glasses in room.Wall paper peeling off.Noisy. We could hear people outside our room until very late.Pool was not allowed to use….mid May.Rooms dusty, and cobwebs.Poor breakfast. There’s not really anything gastronomic.Just needs a makeover, and some care.

Food good needs an update

While the food and service at the restaurant are very good we found this hotel to be disappointing. The rooms are outdated and need updating. Lights were broken - towels were thin. The outdoor areas in late April were unkept. Gardens not cared for. The vibe is that no one is keeping this place updated. The waiter was super kind and our three meals there were lovely. Not much to do in this town so tough without a car.

Off "The Way" but a lovely diversion

This seems to be a building that is old but with a large addition. There is outside seating next to a pool. The dinner was excellent, the room was lovely and the hotel's services were good. If you are walking the El Camino it is several miles off the way so you will need to order a taxi but we were staying the night there so they arranged out pick up and dropped us off there the next day to resume our walk.

This hotel is right off the main road and required a 15 min taxi ride from the Camino trail in Rúa de Francos. Our room was plainly furnished with two twin beds together. There was a lot of built in closet/drawers. I don’t think there is air conditioning, but by opening the window our room stayed cool. The owners were very accommodating. The view from our room was not very interesting.
