  Great Staff, Rooms in Villas outdated

  Due to our flight being canceled due to weather, the airline allocated me and my family to this hotel. We got placed in the villas and the room I stayed in was dark, humid and outdated. However the personal were indeed very friendly, understanding and educated.

  Bed bugs Everywhere

  One of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had.We discovered bed bugs in our room and immediately reported the problem to reception. Instead of taking responsibility and providing us with a safe alternative, we were told that if we wanted to move to another hotel, we would have to pay for it ourselves and make a complaint the following day.As we could not safely use the bed, we ultimately had to spend the night sleeping on the sofa in the room we had already paid for.What made the situation even more unacceptable was that I was travelling with my mother, who has a recognised disability and holds a European Disability Card. Despite this, we were left to deal with an extremely stressful hygiene issue during the night without an adequate solution from the hotel.We have photographic and video evidence of the bed bugs and have submitted an official tourism complaint (Hoja de Reclamación) regarding the incident.Bed bugs can unfortunately occur even in hotels, but what defines a property is how it responds when something serious goes wrong. In our case, the response was completely unacceptable. We felt abandoned rather than assisted.I would never stay here again and, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Tal y como usted mismo nos manifestó en recepción, tanto usted como su madre habían sufrido previamente un episodio relacionado con chinches en otro establecimiento antes de alojarse con nosotros, y nos indicó que ya presentaban picaduras en los brazos, que estaban a la vista. Este antecedente es especialmente relevante a la hora de valorar el origen de la incidencia. Nuestras habitaciones son sometidas a los correspondientes procesos de limpieza, higienización y desinfección. Tras tener conocimiento de lo ocurrido, actuamos de inmediato y procedimos a clausurar preventivamente la habitación para llevar a cabo una desinfección y revisión exhaustivas, medidas que suponen un coste y una actuación adicional para el establecimiento. Por ello, y a la vista de las circunstancias comunicadas por ustedes a su llegada, consideramos que no es adecuado atribuir directamente al hotel la responsabilidad por el origen de la incidencia sin que exista una comprobación que lo determine. Asimismo, estamos valorando las actuaciones y costes derivados del tratamiento de la habitación y, en su caso, las medidas que correspondan.We feel it is necessary to clarify some aspects of your comment so that our future guests have all the information. As you yourself told us at reception, both you and your mother had previously experienced a bed bug infestation at another establishment before staying with us, and you indicated that you already had visible bites on your arms. This background information is especially relevant when assessing the origin of the infestation. Our rooms undergo the corresponding cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfection processes. Upon learning of the incident, we acted immediately and preemptively closed the room to carry out a thorough disinfection and inspection, measures that entail additional costs and work for the establishment. Therefore, and in light of the circumstances you reported upon arrival, we believe it is not appropriate to directly attribute responsibility for the origin of the infestation to the hotel without verification. We are also assessing the actions and costs associated with treating the room and, if necessary, the appropriate measures.

  Beautiful Hotel, with lovely amenities and a free shuttle to Santiago de Compostela center.

  Was part of a Camino Frances Tour Group.What a surprise it was to stay at this hotel at the end of our tours and walks.It was like a wonderful oasis from the touring and walking.As we were coming down our last walk that started tat the Monte do Gozo (Mountain of Joy) we could see the road leading to our hotel, it almost made one want to abandon the last leg of the walk, and just head to the hotel, but of course we did not. We needed to get to KM 0 our final destination.The hotel grounds, and building, and interior is lovely. The colors are pleasant and relaxing. There is a pool (not heated), a little chapel (that was open on the day I was there), and some small trails around the grounds. Everything is beautiful and tastefully done. We had a last group dinner here and the food was special and tasty, because I cannot do chocolate, they got me a non cholate dessert, which was delicious. The breakfast buffet is was nice. Anytime there is kiwi provided I'm happy.The hotel is about 10-15 mins away from the SDC center. So it was not as convenient as some of the other hotels on my Camino Frances tour. But given the beauty of the hotel one doesn't mind.There was a free shuttle to/from the SDC center which drops off and picks up at the Plaza gallica. It has certain operating times. You must reserve it though. I accidently thought it ran on a regular schedule, but was mistaken and had to pay for an unnecessary taxi ride from the Plaza back to the hotel on evening. The Plaza gallica is -- once you know where it is -- easily reached. I stopped by this wonderfully little pastry shop on the way to the plaza.There was at least 1 staff member that spoke English with an American accent, which make it easy to ask other questions, and communicate at a higher bandwidth.   Good and comfortable hotel for business trip or quick escapade.

  We stayed 2 nights for fast business and friend visit. The place is nice, clean, friendly and professional staff, not expensive, 3 minutes from airport, easy access from road, and with own free shuttle service to Santiago city centre. It has a particularity also….rooms are (or some are) “Villas” that consist on duplex room with private car park, really convenient to maintain your privacy.   Where we stayed after we completed our Camino

  We were part of group pilgrimage walking the Camino. This is the hotel we stayed after completing our walk to Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. The hotel is very grand in a beautiful location. The rooms were very nice. The lobby and staff felt very accommodating.It’s too far to the center of town to easily walk. The hotel does have a shuttle van.
