  Great little hotel and restaurant - would highly recommend!

  I stumbled upon this lovely small hotel/restaurant by chance.....short road trip after meetings in Santiago. I had a wonderful top floor room with an incredible terrace overlooking the beach. Would not hesitate to return and enjoy this lovely small town in Galicia. Restaurant is fantastic (don't bother trying anywhere else by the way as this was the only one with good food/service in town). If you want a small, low key hotel without luxuries (the luxury is the view/small town/unspoilt area), give it a try. I loved it!

  Rude argumentative reservation staff

  I cancelled my reservation via the website contact page 2 weeks BEFORE my stay and still got charged for the whole stay. The reservation staff are argumentative and rude going as far as to call me a liar, accusing me of making several bookings and refusing to check their systems to locate the web chat that I had. Be very careful before you make a reservation!

  After a noisy overnight stay, we encountered impolite staff who made us pay the unreasonable amount of €18,50 for two (awful) coffees at breakfast. We do not recommend "Hotel Praia da Camarinas". After some wonderful time in Galizia, this was a bitter unexpected experience during the holiday. Stay: 07-09-2024.

  Outstanding! We stayed two nights while hiking the Camino dos Faros. The rooms were very nice, the staff was wonderfully friendly and welcoming. The location was good, too. But the restaurant, overlooking the water, was amazing. Our second night we thought we'd eat in town, but the restaurants we wanted to try were closed. We went back to the hotel for dinner, and I had the finest meal I've had in years. Absolutely try the warm salad! The sardini rolti was great, and the entrecot of beef was top quality and perfectly cooked. Our server was fun; she gave us food and a Spanish lesson, and we laughed about our efforts to speak each other's language. The staff was kind and thoughtful, helpful in every way. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from downtown along the beach promenade, and they can arrange water sports and other activities for you. If it matters to you, they understand gluten-free and have GF bread.

  Comfortable and Family Friendly - Hidden Gem! Make a day out of it.

  Are you looking for a place where you can spend a full day? This is it! Make sure you pack your beach bag too! We made a reservation for a 2pm lunch with friends (4 small children included), food was served promptly and was delicious. If you sit out on the terrace, when kids are done eating send them down to the playground ALONE and you can watch them while you remain seated finishing your meal as they play on the playground feet away from you. Playground is located directly on the beach below and within perfect distance of the water so that you do not even need to worry about them reaching the water until the ENTIRE FAMILY is then ready to join them down at the beach. Make sure you pack your beach stuff, we ended up with an impromptu beach day since we did not realize how nice this setup was, luckily we had bathings suits for the kids. Rented some paddle boards at a great price, the water is shallow and calm and crystal clear (it is ocean water but in an alcove so you don't need to worry about waves/strong currents). Spend a full relaxing beach day here you won't regret it. SHOCKED they have not applied to convert this into a blue flag beach...undiscovered paradise!
