    Horrible hotel

    rating30 Aug 2023

Terrible hotelI stayed in a suite. It’s in a state of disrepair. Cupboard doors that don’t close properly, wallpaper that’s peeling away, cracks in the bathroom. There is NOTHING on offer in the room. Not even a bottle of water. A four star hotel that doesn’t even offer you water! The views are not what they promise to be. There are old dusty curtains. Patio doors which don’t remain open. The terrace is filthy. It hasn’t been cleaned for a long time with encrusted bird poo all over it. I booked on the hotel’s own website and the customer service was rude and awkward. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Don’t waste your money.

    Excellent hotel

Better than expected. Modern building. My room on the third floor ( recommended ) with a terrace overlooking the La Coruna bay was large, clean and with all the equipment's in good state. Free parking with plenty of space for the guests. The personal was very friendly and eager to help if asked. We opted for the dinner in the hotel on the evenings we stayed in the hotel and didn't regret. The breakfast is ok but not on the level of a 4* hotel. Same every morning and not with plenty of choices.

    Beautiful situation overlooking the beach

    rating27 Sept 2018

This would be a great hotel hotel with small children as it is a very short stagger to a good beach, though the swimming is not great if the tide is low.The hotel is very modern with well-equipped but slightly spartan bedrooms, comfortable beds and a good bathroom. It is a very short walk along the Esplanade to the port where there are lots of restaurant and bar options. Breakfast was pretty okay. This area is very close La Coruña and is pretty over developed, so you have to go some distance for countryside. Having said that there are walks along the coast in both directions, and there is a little castle on an island right opposite the hotel, accessible by a walkway. Plenty of parking at the hotel. I guess in summer this area is a car park, but in September it was lovely!

    Amazing

    rating19 Sept 2018

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this hotel. The view out to the bay complete with island and castle was amazing. Our room was large and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and dinner as part of our stay. Special compliments to our wonderful waiter at both meals. It was a perfect place to wind down after a day of driving.

    View on the bay

    rating25 Aug 2018

We spent few nights in this hotel last July while visiting A Coruña. We chose it because of the vicinity to the beach. Our rooms had a view of the bay of Coruña and the tiny, lovely, Isla de Santa Cruz. They were clean and well appointed.Rather than using the air conditioning, we opted to keep the windows open, enjoying the soothing sound of the waves lapping the beach. Generally the hotel was quiet, the only exception was the evening during which a wedding celebration took place in the area below our windows. It did not trouble us, but those with a lighter sleeping pattern may wish to opt for rooms further away from the terrace. The hotel has a delightful garden where we were able to walk once (as it is not always open) of which we admired the well kept borders and the view from the shaded seats. The public beach below the hotel is clean and was not crowded while we we there - end of July. It is in easy reach of the hotel via a path to the promenade that goes around the building. We did not use the hotel’s restaurant as we wanted to try the local restaurants. The hotel is connected to Coruña by a bus (less than two euros per person, bus stop a short walk away). A taxi rank is in walking distance too, but the hotel staff was always kind in booking for us when needed.
