Valerie’s passenger journey from Adsubia to Bilbao

Used hotel to break up journey from our house in Pego to Bilbao ferry terminal,as we have done previously.the area is full or wineries both well known& smaller businesses,the scenery from logrono towards Bilbao is lovely,when on the N roads,well worth the extra hour journey time.Prices for the area are below normal tourist locations.All very enjoyable!

Very Good All Round

We spent 10 days here in September (our second visit to this hotel). The location is ideal, being within about 15 minutes walk of the town centre with it's shops and restaurants. It is also perfectly-placed for our needs (as golfers) being approximately 35 minutes from all the local courses. The hotel itself is well-run, with an excellent breakfast (the usual full-buffet selection). The rooms are very comfortable, nicely fitted out, with comfortable beds, room fridge and good bathrooms (shower only). Many rooms have good views over the countryside too.Dinner can be a 'bar-meal' from the snack menu (excellent pizza) available until 8pm, or a slightly more-formal meal in the restaurant. The dinner menu is a little limited but is ok for a few nights. This is the one area we feel would benefit from improvement.The hotel has an excellent spa with a large pool, and a very good range of spa 'jets' jacuzzis and so on, plus steam and sauna cabins. Spa access can be purchased daily, or added as part of your room rate (note, the spa does not provide towels to take them from your room).There is adequate outdoor, free-parking (indoor/underground parking at a cost).We found the staff to be excellent, friendly and helpful too, all of which adds to the quality of the visit.The fact that we stayed for 10 days without issues is commendable, and rare in our recent experiences.

Very nice location close to the walled city of Laguardia which is very nice. Nice clean hotel, large bedrooms, and toilets and nice and clean. Good spread at breakfast, and nice hot shower.

Beautiful Laguardia

A lovely hotel. Very good greeting by reception plus early room availability. The restaurant food was pretty good although the table was wonky.The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Only negatives were Paper cups in the hotel room which I thought was unnecessary. We had to request that the air-conditioning was activated. Unusual really as it was pretty hot!!!!The breakfast was OK. Maybe some decent tomatoes for the traditional tomato sauce.

Ideal Location for Laguardia

Pleasant enough stay just outside the historic centre of Laguardia which is a 10 minute walk away (includes an elevator). Room size was adequate and we were at the top of the hotel. Plenty of storage space including a safe.We chose this hotel because it has a pool and it was towards the end of our trip. Towels can be hired for 10 euros which is refundable at the end of your stay. The pool area and grounds are very nice but it doesn't open until 10:30am which felt a little late but is open to 8pm.I felt breakfast at 14 euros per person per day was a bit steep and although you could get it a bit cheaper that was only offered at the point of check-in (sort of take it or leave now). We chose not to take it and instead used the cafe across the road at the garage which all the local workers use and that was very cheap and ideal for our needs.There was no tea & coffee facilities in the room but could be hired for 6 euros (I presume per day) but I thought that was really mean and unnecessary. Everywhere else we had stayed on our 10 day trip in norther Spain had it included.Free on-site parking was greatly appreciated but was under pressure when the hotel was busy.
