This is a review about the massage session at the spa. Please let me first say that the Spa reception has always been friendly and helpful. No complaint at all! The Spa is clean, incl sauna and stream. Everything works well. However, the massage sessions is just disappointing. This is the 2nd time me and my partner has been disappointed. I dont mind if it's a soft massage therapy with stones, ginger or whatever - but let me feel that I have a massage. The masseuse hardly touched my body and it just feels a waste of money and time. Sorry but this is a very expensive Spa session! I was happy with the employee Pilar, but my partner had an other masseuse twice and just not good enough. That's it for us. No more Beatrix Spa. Sorry but I didnt want to complain - but I am so disappointed. Allan

Worst Hotel In Spain

Well I was looking for somewhere very nice to stop on our way to the coast from Santander and for the Beatrix Hotel and Spa in Albercete, looked good swimming pool, nice rooms, including dinner so no messing about looking for restaurants just relax.It was a massive mistake booking this place, it looked fine on entering and checkin was OK we had booked a room, Breakfast and dinner at a cost of 180 Euros which was high for a stopover hotel but we did not want any problems.After checking in I asked about the pool, the reply was we do not have one only a splash pool in the spa but you have to pay an extra 40 euros per person to use it, very disappointed and I did not feel like paying that amount for a hot tub.I must admit our room was very nice and so it should be for the price we paid so no complaints there, lovely bathroom with rainfall shower, I would have preferred a swim.We rested got changed and went down for a drink before dinner, when I asked for the bar I was shown to what can only be described as Cafe but hey it was only a drink before dinner so we ordered.Time for dinner we went to the restaurant and was told it was closed and that we could have the menu del Dia in the bar/ Cafe which I was very annoyed with as the supplement for dinner was substantial, I argued with reception but to no avail except we could not pay the supplement and go into town to find a restaurant which was about 6 mile away and all we wanted was dinner and bed after a long drive.So we had no choice but to go back into the Cafe, the menu was very basic and the food when it was served was unappetising and and only just warm, disgusting is the only word. The reception did not comment when I complained the next morning and just charged the full amount.Needless to say we will never stay at this hotel again

Arrived to find the external parking looking full and children running riot around the security guard at the front of the hotel. Check in was efficient and we took the underground parking option charged at €6. Our room was at the end of a long hot non air conditioned corridor. It was large, reasonably well appointed but no tea or coffee making and no USB charging sockets and seemed clean. There was a fridge. We went to the bar which was more like a budget cafeteria with basic plastic furniture than the bar of a 4 star hotel but the bar service was good. We enquired where dinner would be served and were told it would be in the bar! The menu ws a limited choice €18 menu del dia, considerably less value than we paid for an evening meal. It was not 4 star standard, not even close and the advertised inclusive drink was not served. The bed had a thick plastic sheet on top of the mattress that became very uncomfortable through the night. The breakfast buffet was of a very poor quality. Glad we only stayed for 1 night

This hotel is a walk on memory lane, a fresh sip of water. It brings you back to the time when hospitality had a whole different sense. When tourism was not an industry and every hotel had its unique mark of hospitality. This is the best hotel I have found in Spain so far. Even if the weather was awful, I have fond memories of Albacete thanks to my stay in Castilla hotel. Wonderful staff, strategic location . Perfect room .
