Great location as a stipover

We were journeying from Almeria to Santander and decided to break the journey into parts.. 2.5 hrs each segment. Albacete Paradore is in a great location next to the motorway. An original Paradore building from 1917. All original rooms with balcony. Long corridors in a square around a central garden. Clean rooms , easy onsite parking, great WiFi and very friendly staff. We had dinner but were disappointed the lamb with garlic was not good, mostly fat and inedible. .. at 30€ not recommended. We enjoyed a free breakfast because we had just joined the “amigos” programme..breakfast was much better with lots of choice. I will definitely stay again but will avoid dinner. Rural and good value Parador

The Parador is on the edge of the town with easy access from the A road. We parked at the Parador and checked in, we had wonderful rooms overlooking the gardens with a lovely shaded balcony and a great pod coffee machine. We spent a while alternately listening to birdsong and the sound of military jets from the nearby airbase, home to the Spanish equivalent of 'Top Gun'.The reason we'd chosen Albacete, other than it being a convenient stop on the way home, was the Botanic Gardens. These opened at 7PM so we had dinner at the Parador - delicious veal burgers whilst sat on the terrace - before we drove the short distance to the gardens. The rooms were amazingly quiet considering how close the main road was and the bird sone was far more noticeable than the traffic. Breakfast was, as always with Paradors, fabulous.An excellent value stay and certainly a place I'd return to. Historic Hacienda between airbase and highway

there are not many Paradores in the price range - for this one I clearly see the reason for rates around 70€/night (exl. bf):Historic hacienda which is now between the highway and runway of the nearby spanish airforce airport. the planes start around 8 and you'll think they are just inside of your room.in May it's communiones on weekend (4-5 at same time, expect noise all day long - not at night)Rooms are truely historic in decor and equipment. Fading 4* from 1990 or soAs there is not really a reson to visit Albacette there is even less reason to visit this Parador. 10/10 for convenience but….

It could be better - with softer pillows, lighter weight less restrictive duvet style bed coverings and a polite notice to guests not to disturb others requiring sleep beyond 05.30h if occupying an upper floor room and wearing noisy shoes.
