First Family holiday with our 14month old

    rating06 Oct 2026

Honest reviewJust got back from a 10 day stay and thought I would share a review from our side.We came here for our first family holiday with our 14 month old.Hotel was lovely spotlessly clean and pretty asthetics. Rooms modern enough but definitely needs a bit of attention. Our door was a bit battered looking which wasn't the best first impression when walking upto it but once inside very spacious and bed super comfy. We where thrown that we had to pay fourty euros for a cot which we found a bit dissappointing considering how much the holiday cost.Pools where freezing cold which would've been ok if it was boiling but the weather was a bit hit and miss when we went unfortunately with the time of year but again spotlessly clean and plenty of them to choose from. Would say the life guards need to be consistent with the inflatable rules in the big pool as one day people where allowed and then the next day being told off. I think they should all let babies have floating aids still in every pool.Everyone was really friendly, a very family orientated hotel lots of young children people very polite holding doors open and offering to help with carying prams up stairs etc which was nice.Staff where fantastic, worked super hard. Where fast to clear up plates, quick serving drinks at the bar and really friendly with our baby.Food was nice always plenty of options would say some bits better then others meat was quite dry and over cooked but I guess rather over cooked then undercooked ?? But yes plenty of tasty options and the pool bar food was nice for something a bit different. The childrens Entertainment was good with the little discos and mascot. (The song will be stuck in your head for most the holiday ??) I'd say the adults Entertainment for us wasn't the best personally, there was singers on one night and the microphones where superloud and the background music really quiet which I felt killed the vibe a bit as they where good singers but was very off balance. Magician and chinese acrobat act was good. Shame the Disney show everyone was talking about wasn't on as was looking forward to that one. But yeah I did feel it was lacking a bit of atmosphere of a night but I'm not sure if that's because most people had young kids and we're all tired ??We took a 15min bus to citudella which was a lovely town, however we can't comment on it too much as we went only once for my bfs birthday meal and the food really wasn't great where we had chose unfortunately. Nice place to walk around though and I'm sure there are plenty of lovely places to eat it's just our luck.Marina was a lovely walk some nice places to eat and nice beach there. Nice sunset views from the lighthouse which is a short walk also.I'd say for us personally, it was a lovely first family holiday, however, there wasn't a great deal for us to do day trip wise, and we also like listening to live music, seeing people dancing bit of karaoke and atmosphere around places. This was just a bit too chill for us but for some people that would be perfect. ??I also have a suggestion to the hotel (this is the childminder in me), I think it would be lovely if they created an area for babies to have a crawl around and for parents to sit with them and have a little play. I felt there wasn't many places to put our little one down with his age. The swings where nice and the sand area but lots of stones and bits for them to put in their mouths as they do??There was loooaads of little babies there so I just feel this would be a lovely addition (attached photo chat gpt my therapist mocked up for me ??)But thanks for an overall nice chilled holiday Zafiro actually feeling pretty refreshed for a change. ??

    The best staff ever!

    rating04 Oct 2026

This Is hotel may be a bit tired and dated in places but i have never met such friendly staff. The welcome from start to finish has been excepcional and a great place for children. The food and choice of is excellent but like a lot of the hotels in Spain it could be warmer. Hotel Manager, Owner at Zafiro Menorca, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your thoughtful review. We are delighted that our team made such a lasting impression on you, from the moment you arrived right through to your departure. It is wonderful to know you found our resort a great place for children, and that the variety and quality of our cuisine caught your attention. That said, we are sorry that some aspects of the property felt a little dated to you. The building dates from 2001 and was last refreshed in 2018, though we take your observations on board. We also regret that the temperature of the dishes did not meet your expectations and we will certainly look into this.Nonetheless, your kind words about our staff mean the world to us, and knowing you had such an enjoyable family holiday is the best reward we could ask for.We hope to welcome you back.Best wishes,Manuel Jaimez Zafiro Menorca, General Manager

    ?????????? Lovely family-friendly hotel

    rating03 Oct 2026

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it.Our room had everything we needed and was kept clean throughout our stay. There was a great selection of pools for the kids, which was especially brilliant for my daughter as she can be quite unsure around water. Having different pools and options meant she could take things at her own pace and enjoy herself. We stayed self-catering and found the prices at the hotel very reasonable. They were also really generous with things like kids’ drinks and ice lollies, which was a lovely touch. There are plenty of options nearby too, including two shops just a few minutes’ walk away, which was really convenient. The marina is only a short walk from the hotel and has a great selection of places to eat, with different types of food and prices to suit everyone. All of the staff were really friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. A special shoutout to the entertainment team, who were fantastic with my daughter. She’s normally very shy and takes a while to come out of her shell, but they made her feel so comfortable that she ended up joining in with the activities. It was so lovely to see her come out of her shell and enjoy herself.Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, with no issues at all.Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families. We would happily come back again! Hotel Manager, Owner at Zafiro Menorca, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your positive review. We are delighted that you had such a wonderful family stay with us. Knowing your daughter felt at ease in the different pools and gradually built her confidence around the water is truly heartwarming. It is great that you found your apartment well equipped and spotless throughout your visit. Our housekeeping team works hard to keep everything fresh and comfortable, so they will be pleased to hear this.We are also glad that the self-catering prices felt fair and that the little gestures, like complimentary drinks and ice lollies for the kids, made a difference. Having two shops just a short stroll away and the marina nearby with its varied dining scene adds to the ease of a family holiday, and we are happy you made the most of it.The entertainment team will be thrilled to receive your special mention. Helping a shy little one come out of her shell and join in the activities is exactly why they do what they do, and your words will mean a lot to them. All our staff take pride in offering a warm welcome, so your kind comments about their friendliness are much appreciated. Finally, it is great that your arrival and departure went smoothly, allowing you to focus entirely on enjoying your time here.We would be happy to have the opportunity of welcoming you back in the future.Best wishes,Manuel Jaimez Zafiro Menorca, General Manager
