  Pros: This Hotel is in a fabulous location. Easy access to everting Alicante has to offer. We booked a room with a city view which was really nice. The room was a decent size with windows overlooking the square and was situated over one of the arches en route to various restaurants. It was in the middle of everything yet quiet when the windows, (we had three) were closed. The mini bar was well stocked there was a safe and plenty of room to hang your clothes. There was a decent hairdryer and toiletries in the bathroom. Along with robes and slippers. All the norm for a 5 star hotel. Cons: We arrived early as we were staying in another Spanish location and wanted to finish our stay in Alicante. There was no Welcome to our hotel from the check in staff and no smiles. Training was in process and although we said it was fine and everyone has to learn we were at the desk having questions shot us for quite a while. Again no thank you for your patience. We were advised that we would get a call if our room was ready earlier than 4:00pm. Yes 4:00 pm after paying over Euros340 for two nights. The call did not come and we went back to the hotel as suggested at 3:00pm. Our room was ready but we were advised when we enquired about getting a phone call to advise us that the room was ready that a call was made but I did not answer. It transpired that the desk had the incorrect phone number.{not my doing as my phone number was on my booking info] I said that they could have emailed as they had the correct email address. Said the room had only just become available!! The room was lovely although it was freezing as the air con was set to freezing. We did increase the temp but it was still cold. The only way we could sleep without being cold was to open one of the windows. The shower went from ok to scalding in a few seconds and the towels were the sort I would have put in the bin. Other guests in the bar more or less experienced the same as we did.We did not eat there but had a cocktail on the roof terrace. The first night the drinks were amazing. Best Bramble I have ever had. The second night the same drink was awful and I had to return it as there was around three times the amount of creme de cassis in the mix. Totally undrinkable. On departure we did not get a did you enjoy your stay or even a thank you for your custom. Not a 5 star experience in any way. Would we return - No Stayed in the Melia 10 days earlier and in our opinion was much better. Staff valued their customers did not feel that if mattered if we returned or not.

  Excellent hotel. Perfect location. Beautiful room with balcony. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel spotless and will definitely be returning. Ideal for seeing Alicante. Approx 2 mins walk from Marina and a beautiful beach. Numerous bars nice restaurants close by.

  The staff make this place. So helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are lovely and spacious. Rooftop bar is stunning. Lovely cocktails. Would highly recommend and will return. We visited as a couple for 3nights and my father is staying onHe is 86 years old and they could not do enough to help him Thank you so much

  The hotel was spotless, the breakfast was lovely, the staff were extremely helpful and the rooftop bar was a lovely way to finish off our evenings. We stayed for 5 nights and it was one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. Everything was close by, the beach, marina, shops restaurants, taxis.

  I have no idea how this hotel can be a 5 star hotel. Located in a beautiful building. The staff is nice and very helpful. The room was large and clean. Bed and bathroom ok. But it has no pool, only a roof top bar. The gym is very small and have very few exercise machines and no dumbbells. But where the hotel really fails is the breakfast. Very simple and boring buffet. Juice is not freshly squeezed but comes out of a box. You cannot order extras from a menu card. So there is only scrambled eggs. And it was a very boring scrambled egg.No value for money at this hotel.
