Very happy with my stay but needs some refinement

Booked direct for a 2 night B and B stay. Good communication. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Mariano, on reception, made our stay perfect. Perfect position on the beach front and the only hotel on the front with a pool. Spotlessly clean. Had a huge suite with 3 balconies which all had the sun at various times during the day. and very quiet. Rooms a little sterile with no pictures, limited hot drink options, only herbal tea.. and no useful information in the room about reception contact numbers etc but that didn't detract from my stay. Limited unbookable hotel parking but it does have an underground public carpark a minutes walk away. Not cheap though! The managers of the property need to read the consistent poor reviews about the uncomfortable sunbeds, due to mesh being dry and tight and therefore could not recline fully and the tepid 'hot' buffet food. The quality was good and a big choice but it was almost cold before it went onto the plate. I wonder if the microwave in the corner was the solve for that problem ?? There are 4 star hotels further up the coast that offer the same vista/pools with a similar cost but are of a much higher standard. Saying that i would still return to the Allon

Sports hotel and conference centre without Aircon

This used to be really good place to stay.We spent last three years with them - 2 weeks each time all the time in superior suite as a family of three.This year was a disaster.Air conditioning was nearly blowing some cold air unable to keep the temperature at desired level. We informed manager who confirmed that nothing could be done. They fill the superior air conditioned room with three electric fans. When after several days I asked for a refund or discount so called manager said everything is ok. I asked if I could bring private company to asses their air conditioning system she refused. When I asked for document from inspection she carried out she said she does not have any and this was internal document. When I asked who is their regulatory body she did not what I was asking about. When I asked for her business card it turned out she was imposter appointed by owners. When I asked who owners are receptionist quoted data protection.Cousins was less than mediocre, selection poor and some dishes undercook with one paella giving all my family gastroenteritis.Hotel was hosting some kind of conference as as conference room at the top floor had air condition domen as I had in my room meeting carried out in the lobby and closed bar next to the reception.Hotel is now becoming a place where groups of young people come to train football on the beach - not very convenient for other guests like our family. Sun bed and umbrella not longer available Staff was really nice except imposter manager and domestic supervisor. Will not return.

Great hotel in a great position

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Staff were very helpful, car park is good. Location is superb on the beach which I think all the rooms overlook and you are very close to all the restaurants. The room was spacious clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate and bar facilities were great. The pool area is small but you are opposite the beach! Our only gripe was that there were not enough parasols around the pool, my wife has had skin cancer and just wanted to sit by the pool in the shade but all the shade was taken. We had 2 very good nights sleep and we will be back.

We do not rate this as 4 star hotel. No tea/coffee making facilities in room, cheap plastic mattress protector made bed hot, no satellite TV, nothing in minibar (water only provided on first day), asked for packed lunch instead of breakfast on last day which was dismal and told "not allowed" a coffee. Best thing about hotel was location but they have become complacent about their standards.

What a wonderful hotel right on the sea! I am stunned to see any negative reviews. The room was fabulous, staff very helpful and the food was just delicious! Tons of variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Huge buffet. Wonderful coffee maker to make expresso, cafe con leche, etc. Rooms are clean and quiet.
