This hotel is located on the Costa Blanca, at the heart of the Bonalba golf course. It is 10 minutes away from Alicante town centre (with direct access via the A7 motorway) and 4 km from Sant Joan d'Alacant and Muchavista beach. Alicante railway station is 15 km from the hotel. Alicante Airport is around 25 km away.

43 junior suites, 18 suites and 209 double rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by 4 lifts. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The holiday village has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a playroom and a library. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The complex has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

The pool complex ensures comfortable swimming with its indoor and outdoor pools and pleasantly heated water. Children can enjoy a special swimming area just for them. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. A variety of activities are available at the complex, for example cycling/mountain biking and crazy golf or, for a fee, tennis and golf. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy sailing, snorkelling and diving. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, billiards, darts, callisthenics and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium. Subject to charge: massage treatments. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and live music.

Dining facilities include a café, a bar and a pub. The restaurant has air conditioning and high chairs for children. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The holiday village offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Definitely Not a 4-Star Hotel

    This hotel is very clearly not a 4-star. It has a large pool (which needs a clean) and the hotel itself is spacious, but unfortunately, that’s about as far as the positives go.The food was one of the most disappointing things about the hotel. It was often cold / luke warm with a very limited selection. It felt that most of the food was not freshly cooked and was simply warmed / reused. I have seen much better offerings at 3 star hotels. Service throughout the hotel is poor, with no clear information or guidance on how you can purchase food during the day if you aren’t all inclusive. Staff were okay, but there was a clear a language barrier at times, and there were a few occasions where they tried charging us the wrong amounts. The rooms are basic. Our kettle didn’t work, and the TV only offered a very limited selection of basic Spanish channels. The corridors to get to the room have an unpleasant musty smell (probably from the old carpet). The bed was relatively comfy though. There is virtually no evening entertainment, with only a handful of fairly basic daytime activities available on selected days. No good if you have kids are looking for some atmosphere.In terms of location, there is nothing nearby other than the golf course and a couple of restaurants about 11 minute walk up a steep hill. There is no store within the hotel either. Overall, I would rate this as a low 3-star hotel at best in its current condition. The hotel does have the potential to become a genuine 4-star hotel, but it would require significant investment, better maintenance, improved food and service standards, and much more attention to the overall guest experience.

    They have a racist receptionist called ANNA at the desk, she has no customer service manners, very impolite and a liar. She forced a woman with a child to pay for a cancelled previous reservation when we had an already booked and paid for a 2nd reservation that was affordable on a different website. She even teamed up with a man called Alex to threaten to call the police on us because we disagreed on how she was treating us. If you are a black person do not go to this hotel, they are low key racists.

    We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Bonalba in Alicante. The facilities are well-maintained, the pool area is nice, and the rooms are comfortable. The food was great as well.A special mention goes to the bartender, Oscar, who provided excellent service and made great drinks. Overall, a solid hotel experience that we can recommend!

    I arrived on Sunday with a family of 6. Im still here and so disappointed. The hotel have an activity scheduled daily but there has been no activities at all and this is my 4th night here! Kids are so bored! We booked this hotel because of the activities but there has been zero. I would advise families to book elsewhere!

    Clean hotel just lacks a lot of different things

    Lovely clean hotel, pool area very nice plenty of sun beds. Breakfast just warm everyday and lack of choice for dinner is shocking for how big the hotel is. You’ve got to guess what you’re eating as nothing is labelled. Hardly no one speaks English so it’s quite hard to communicate. Lack of staff really disappoints this hotel, your waiting by the bar a good 10 mins every time you go up as there’s only ever 1 person serving, the bar is tiny and lack of options of drinks is shocking, only 2 drinks on tap and only 1 worked the whole time we were there.
