    The hotel is dated, beds were incredibly uncomfortable with sheets and blankets rather than duvets. The sheet on my bed looked as though it had holes caused by cigarettes in it. The bathroom fixtures were old and, in some places, cracked. The staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and inattentive. The breakfast was buffet style and unhygienic given the Covid situation. The toilets in the bar area were without toilet rolls in any of the cubicles and the bins were overflowing. When this was pointed out to the staff on duty, toilet rolls appeared but the bins weren't emptied. Would I recommend this hotel to anyone or stay here again? A resounding 'NO' to both.

    3 star hotel with 5 star service!

    We spent two nights here in June 2016, comfortable clean room if a little dated! But the staff are simply amazing! Nothing too much trouble and sooo friendly! We were made to feel most welcome on our trip to buy our own home in Spain..we shall return to say thank you to the staff who were all mucho fantasticco!

    We stayed overnight on Easter Saturday. The price was excellent but the place was short staffed. We had to wait ages to check in as the person on duty was also serving in the bar. No food available in the evening but we were offered sandwiches. This was fine as we managed to get a pizza and sat in the park to eat it. Whilst it was clean, the place seems dated

    Eight of us stayed here for 4 days while walking in the area. The hotel needs some money spent on it. The beds were rock hard, a sheet ripped and the blackout curtain was torn. lighting in the bathroom was low and the shower did not work, although it was sort of fixed. We had half board. Breakfasts were great and served efficiently by friendly staff. It changed slightly each day. The evening meal was presented differently each night. The food varied, sometimes good and sometimes not so good.Their strong point was the staff who were great, whether at reception, in the bar or in the dining room. Good location at the top of the town. Cocentaina, itself, had a good feel to it and we wondered out each day and met friendly (that word again) people.Three star hotel, just needs some money spent on the rooms. No fridge.

    A group of 19 of us stayed here for a week to explore the great walking in this area. The food was simple but tasty and there was enough for us hungry walkers - and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff who were always cheerful and friendly. The hotel was not very modern but was very clean. It is well placed to explore the surrounding mountains if you are walkers or to explore the bodegas and tourist attractions of the area if you are not. The staff will be happy to give you ideas on what to visit. The free internet was nearly always available - even with lots of us using it - and of a good speed. We will undoubtedly be back.
