  Complaint About Stay at ibis budget Alicante

  I originally booked a room for two people. Three days before arrival, I called the hotel to request an additional bed for my sister. I was informed that it was impossible to add a third bed and also impossible to change our booking from a double room to a triple room. Because of this, we had to book an additional separate room for my sister.However, after check-in, we discovered several serious issues with the room. There was a snail in the sink, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the shower was leaking badly. Due to these unacceptable conditions, we requested a room change.Surprisingly, the hotel staff then moved us to a room with one double bed and one additional bed — exactly the option that I had requested by phone before arrival and was told was impossible. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and extra expenses for us.In addition, the rooms were extremely dirty and did not meet acceptable hygiene or quality standards.I am very disappointed with the service and condition of the hotel and cannot recommend this property to other guests.I expect an explanation regarding this situation and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.

  Sole traveller 17years old, got a consent form from parents to stay but hotel manager still refused me to stay. First time visiting Alicante and first trip on my own. Bits scary to be refused entry for a first timer travelling. Hotel offered no help or refund, currently fighting this one with booking.com as hotel blames then and booking.com blames hotel. cant wait to blog this on my Alicante reviews.

  Very average - you get what you pay for!Room was very basic (think student halls of residence) - clean enough and comfy bed. Shower was like those you find in a caravan!Snack bar is in adjacent sister hotel - very limited choice and limited opening hours.Very poor sound insulation left nothing to the imagination - very squeaky beds but at least the next door neighbours seem to be having a very nice time (twice!)Useful base for the airport with secure parking.

  It was ok! We had all we needed. The room was nice and clean. The restaurant and especially employees were very nice. This one lady, edene, i will compare all other hotel service to how she has been. Super kind, pleasant, helpful and hospitable! Great staff make a great hotel! Would return.

  worst ibis experience

  The guy at the reception was very rude. The key didn't work so we went to the reception and he behaved very badly and shouted at my mother saying that he was busy and that she should move away because he needed space. It was shocking and I didn't expect that from Ibis because it was the first time it had happened to me. The staff at Ibis was always nice anywhere in Europe. The internet didn't work.
