This charming hotel is situated in the centre of Alicante on Salamanca Avenue, just in front of the railway station. The commercial area with various shopping venues, bar and restaurants and other places of interest, such as the Archaeological Museum and Santa Barbara Castle, are within a short walking distance. The nearest beach is just 1.5 km from the hotel.

Facility

The holiday village has 26 rooms, including junior suites and single rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels.     A breakfast employee can make the difference

    My three-day stay at the City Estación in Alicante was fine. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast provided. A good price-quality ratio. What a shame that a breakfast employee is not customer friendly and refuses to make a good cappuccino on the beautiful Italian coffee machine that is also there. She directs me to a simple machine in the corner of the breakfast room that produces a kind of instant coffee.My rating would have been excellent. Now - after the customer-unfriendly refusal and the discussion that followed - I think it is at most a reasonable hotel.

    One night stay at La City Estacion before flying home from Alicante having been to Valencia. Brilliantly located hotel for both the train station and the airport bus. The bus station is about 10 minutes away. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. We had a problem with the kettle in the room not switching off. This was sorted out very quickly with a new kettle being provided without any fuss. All the staff we met were very approachable and friendly. The hotel was also on a short walk from the old town, although, there are ample bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

    Love this friendly hotel in central Alicante.Have stayed many times.Staff are very friendly , pleasant and helpful.Hotel is spotlessly clean with good sized rooms.Like the fact that hotel is near the tram station, train station and shops whilst still only being about 20 walk to the port and beach .Did not have breakfast this time due to needing an early start. Usually have breakfast though and find the food to be of good quality, plentiful and varied Have no complaints whatsoever

    This gem of a hotel is our go to place when visiting Alicante.We have been visiting this hotel many times and have always had a marvellous time It is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly,courteous and helpful The breakfast is well presented and has a very good selection of fresh food available to choose from.The location of the hotel for us is ideal being near the train or tram station We also like being in a central location near to shops,cafes etc.The rooms are of a good size and have comfortable beds.Lovely hot walk in shower with complimentary shampoo and gel.     Comfortable hotel right in the center of town. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed the stay. The staff was friendly and made good recommendations for dinner.
