  Absolutely sensational!

  I’ll be honest, I was a little sceptical before travelling after reading some of the reviews, but I can absolutely say that this hotel exceeded all of my expectations.The hotel is absolutely spotless, the rooftop bar is a real vibe, and there was always someone on reception if we needed anything. Breakfast was lovely, with so much variety that there really was something for everyone.And Calpe itself… we didn’t even need to leave! There are fantastic bars and restaurants all around, and we genuinely didn’t have a bad meal during our stay. We found a particular Irish bar not far from the hotel that we frequented more than once! We visited the flamingos, spent time on the stunning beach, and explored the old town, which is absolutely something to behold.But what really stood out was how well looked after we felt throughout our stay. In particular, Ricardo was absolutely wonderful. He was professional, kind, helpful and incredibly accommodating. He helped us find places to visit, arranged taxis for us and generally went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic stay.I would also highly recommend booking a sea view room. Waking up to that view in the morning was honestly the most stunning way to start the day.We will 100% be going back to Calpe and to this hotel, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone considering a visit.Thank you for making my birthday trip so special.   Stayed here for a 2 week holiday with my wife Christine, whilst visiting family. On arrival hotel reception is still in the 80s and so were the corridors, beige and chocolate brown everywhere. Reception staff polite and efficent. Room was cleaned and bedding and towels changed everyday was faultless. We did bed and breakfast , buffet to help yourself was well stocked with all the English favourites , bacon ,sausage ,beans,eggs, loads of fresh fruit, hams , cheeses, cereals. Spot on. 2 main pools , rooftop pool was ideal, sunlounger available anytime you needed one , snacks of the usual toasties and sarnies were delicious. The other was a bit of a waste as it was always in the shade. Special mention for Alan , a waiter in the restaurant who was always helpful, efficient and always happy to help. Would have scored 5 but decor very dated throughout. Total refurb needed.   Amazing location with breathtaking views!

  Although rooms are slightly dated they are clean and the location and views are amazing!! Elevator can be a challenge during peak hours but we just took the stairs.   Only reason we stayed here was because other friends booked this during a group holiday. Only real positives were friendly staff and beach location. Got to be the worst mattress ive ever slept on, absolutely rock hard you can feel every individual spring under you. No staff supervising pool areas so rubbish and empty glasses appear around the sun loungers all day. Main pool is on the first floor, if you want nice drinks you have to travel up to the 8th floor and back. Food was disappointed and not a lot of variety, we gave up going for breakfast and dinner that we pre-paid for after the 3rd day due to it being too overcrowded. Charged €20 to RENT an iron when every other hotel ive been to have these in the room as standard. Theres only 3 small elevators for hundreds of guests, constant queues on every floor to use them. You can hear a pin drop from outside your room door and through the walls, every night we got to hear the neighbours rearranging the furniture, babies crying, dogs barking and a woman having a midlife crisis. Room was kept very clean every day so theres that. Not worth the money we paid and seriously considered spending the rest of our holiday at a different hotel but we didnt have the money to do this.   Fabulous holiday and stunning hotel!

  Overall a really lovely hotel, stunning location and such hardworking staff!Pool:Beautiful rooftop pool on the 8th floor of the hotel, with a very handy pool bar serving a variety of cocktails and your usual drinks. Food looked really good with a nice selection but we didn’t try this. Never had to reserve sunbeds or get there early. If anything, my friend and I were shocked at peak time (1-3pm ish) there were still 21 available beds (yes I counted haha). We believe a lot of the hotel residents used the beach (literally a 30 second walk). Staff worked really hard ensuring they provided high quality service especially with their long shift hours and doing split shifts. Only minor thing - they played the same music playlist on repeat over and over (maybe we spent too many hours at the pool haha).Breakfast:We had booked bed and breakfast, there was a huge selection for breakfast including your usual full English items, lots of pastry’s and selection of meats and cheeses. The hotel advise a traffic light system due to the timings and how busy it may get. We went to breakfast around 9am and got a table straight away every day. Reception:All staff at reception were super friendly and helpful. They allowed us to keep our suitcases in storage as check in wasn’t until 4pm and we arrived at 10am. They contacted me around 1pm to say they have our room ready (very appreciated). Nothing seemed too much to ask for - they happily ordered us taxis, recommended restaurants and activities in the area. Room:We had a standard room with balcony, honestly absolutely fine! Very spacious, complimentary water in the mini fridge on the first day, we had fresh towels everyday (I did see reviews to say there was a €7 daily charge but we never encountered this!). Air con was freezing (was slightly too cold) that we even turned it off but at least you know it works very well! Atmosphere:Had a very friendly atmosphere, every guest we encountered ie. In lifts, around reception etc always said hi! It was very relaxed and even all the children were extremely well behaved. It’s also a dog and cat friendly hotel - never had any issues, no noises, no dirtiness. Overall, the hotel was very clean, they even have mini robots in reception constantly hoovering and cleaning!
