Location

The hotel is located in a beautiful natural area in front of the Mediterranean Sea in the picturesque fisherman's town of Altea, where various typical restaurants can be found and guests can also enjoy a relaxing walk along the seafront. The resort is situated only 3 km from the Luis Campomanes leisure harbour, and Alicante Airport is just 50 minutes away.

Facility

202 rooms, including 15 junior suites, suites and 186 double rooms, are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. A direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. The pool complex ensures comfortable swimming with its indoor and outdoor pools and pleasantly heated water. Children can enjoy a special swimming area just for them. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A sun terrace, sun loungers, and parasols are available. The wide range of activities offered at the resort ensures that there is something new to do every day, including tennis, beach volleyball, golf and paddle tennis. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy windsurfing, sailing and diving. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, billiards, callisthenics and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a hammam, a beauty salon and thalassotherapy treatments and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath and massage treatments. Children are well looked after in the kids' club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant with air conditioning, a café and a bar. Catering options include half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. The complex also offers special catering options. The chefs prepare delicious specialities during the show cooking.

    We celebrated my wife’s birthday in Altea. What a great hotel to stay in. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and above all happy. The level of cleanliness and care is rare to find. It is a huge compliment to the manager, who clearly demonstrates how to manage a hotel.     Ruined Christmas

    This was our second visit. 23rd to 26th December .Room was acceptable .Bar service dreadful..The food , Christmas eve 92 euros per person was disgusting....Not as described in the menu .The room was entered on Christmas day while we were at breakfast although we did not put a request on the door. The towels and bed linen not changed and just not serviced correctly .The smell of cigarette smoke outside the room was overwhelming.We think this was coming from a staff smoking area. 5 star Hotel...Certainly not .We checked out .We were refunded our 1 night stay but felt very let down. We have now made a formal complaint to the department of quality.Very sympathetic and grateful for our feedback .     “Poo, dirt and zero hygiene in a ‘5-star’ hotel”

    Absolutely shocking and unacceptable experience at HG Villas & Spa.This is the second time this has happened. I stayed here before while pregnant and had hygiene problems even then. I gave this hotel another chance, and they failed again.We were given a room that was full of dirt and clearly not cleaned. There was poo left inside the toilet and visible dirt and coffee stains around the bathroom sink. This is not a small mistake — it is disgusting. I have photos as proof.What is truly alarming is that the hotel thought it was acceptable to give a room in this condition to guests coming to relax with a baby. No parent should have to worry about dirt, poo, and hygiene risks in a so-called 5-star hotel.The restaurant was no better — poor quality food, everything frozen, nothing fresh, completely unworthy of a luxury hotel.Avoid this place. There are many much cleaner and better 4-star hotels that offer a far superior experience.I will not return and strongly warn others to stay elsewhere. While our team did not detect any traces of excrement, we understand that small marks from rust or limescale may appear, which can look similar. Regarding the coffee stains on the countertop in the second room, we apologize for this oversight and have reminded our cleaning and supervisory staff of the importance of paying close attention to every detail. About your comments about the restaurant, we fully respect your opinion, although we do not share it. As returning guests, you know that we are always available to resolve any issues that may arise during a stay. On this occasion, we attempted to offer solutions, which were declined.
