Very enjoyable 2nd stay at Melia Alicante The Level!

We stayed for 3 nights at Melia Alicante The Level, this was our 2nd stay here and we very much enjoyed our return visit.We booked a sea view room which was clean, quiet and comfortable, although maybe we would have booked a larger room for a longer stay. We requested twin beds and bathtub (with shower over) and both our requests were met. Our balcony was sunny in the morning which was lovely to watch the sunrise. All the usual amenities in the room (air conditioning, safe, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and complimentary water). There were even some English TV channels! But the real treat was The Level Lounge! We booked breakfast inclusive and the hot and cold buffet choices were excellent, as were the cook to order omelettes! Then from after breakfast until 1030pm there were complimentary drinks and snacks available throughout the day. A wide selection of soft drinks (hot and cold), wine, cava and beer all day and spirits for 1 hour in the evening (6-7pm). Also a variety of hot and cold tapas twice a day (12-1pm in the afternoon and 530-7pm in the evening) and also sweet treats (4-530pm in the afternoon). The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The Level Lounge overlooks the sea and there is also a small outside area with loungers and pool exclusively for The Level guests.We ate in the Trasluz restaurant on 1 evening which was also very nice.During our stay we visited the spa (€25pp for 90 mins use of spa facilities). It is actually part of the hotel next door, but accessible internally via Melia Alicante. Must wear swim hat (men and women), bring your own or available to purchase at spa reception (€3). The spa was clean and relaxing. Facilities included hydro pool, saunas, steam rooms and loungers. Treatments also available.The hotel is well situated to explore Alicante, including the Explanada, marina and castle etc. Taxi rank available right outside hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay at Melia Alicante The Level and would be pleased to recommend!

Overall a very pleasant few days but some issues which were quickly fixedFirst room rejected due to location, however 2nd had wonderful views from balcony and was very comfortable. Plumbing issues fixed within an hour and staff extremely friendly and helpful

A decent place with a decent location but overpriced for the services you receive. My wife and I booked this hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and was told by many guests that the hotel would help us honor and celebrate the occasion if we alerted them ahead of time (which we did) but they did nothing. On the day of checkout, we asked for a porter to help with our luggage and they never showed up. Hopefully you don't want eggs cooked to order in the Level lounge at breakfast - the cook looked miserable and, often times, was hiding in the back and not even around to prepare your eggs. When she did come out, it was like preparing your eggs was a chore she cared not to perform. Food in the hotel restaurant in the lobby is mediocre, at best, but on par for what you get in other restaurants around the city. Decent room, decent shower, but a very disappointing stay. We could have stayed elsewhere for far less and received the same Level of services. If you plan to spend your entire stay in the Level lounge drinking free wine, beer, soda, and coffee it might be perfect - just know that nothing can leave the lounge so you are stuck there if you want to finish it.

We have recently returned from our stay. Our 4th stay at this beautiful corner in Alicante. The staff are beautiful inside and outside - they create a caring peaceful adult only space. The Level lounge is just delightful with soft drinks, beers, cava and hot drinks available all day. Tapas and sweet treats offered at certain times throughout the day. We are definitely missing the space, the sunshine and being in a protective bubble of loveliness! We were sad to leave but we will return!

We booked a junior suite with sea view which opened up onto the infinity pool. We were blown away it was gorgeous ! The level makes this experience from the amazing , attentive staff to the cleanliness of the room & pool area. Shout out to our level waiter Alexandro he was super attentive & very friendly ! We loved the complimentary tapas with unlimited soft drinks , beer & wine in the lounge & also the free bar between 6/7pm . I was there with my mother & sister & we are going to make it an annual trip hopefully with our same room . Well done to the Management team you are running a first class hotel !
