  A lot of construction going on. Lights are bright outside the rooms. Breakfast could have been a little better. Not a bad place for the money!

  We had a quick check in, great sleep quiet and on a comfortable bed. The room was clean, breakfast had good coffee and check out was pleasant with Leslie who took the time entertaining my kids 50 questions, easy parking.

  Came to town for a company event and stayed here at the Super 8. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the lobby was nice. Overall was a great stay. But I really wanted to recognize the desk clerk Anthony. Great service. I stay at a lot of hotels and he was one of the best I've seen. He was very professional and had a great attitude. It truly stands out when you have a nice interaction with the staff at a hotel. I will definitely stay here again my next trip.

  Mistake Made Staying At Super 8

  I've stayed at Super 8 a hand full of times, pre-covid and post covid. The property has gone down hill fast. Pre-Covid the price I would pay for 2 rooms is still cheaper than what I'm paying for 1 room now. I was just their for Thanksgiving, stayed two days and paid for two rooms. The rooms smelled dingy and dated. The water pressure was piss poor in strength and my shower dripped all night disturbing my sleep. The walls are thin and I could hear the neighbors TV, disturbing my sleep. The breakfast has gone downhill fast. No eggs, no meat, watered down coffee and juices was not pleasant. Oh and lastly but what let me know I was in trouble was during check in. The young male clerk working the front needs to be re-trained or trained on how to treat and greet a guest who is not 15 years old. When a person walks into your lobby, approaches the front counter, the clerk should not just stand their and look at the person and not say anything. No hi, I'm whoever, welcome to Super 8, how may I help you!! No hi, are you checking in!! No nothing, we just stood there looking at each other like two fools!! Later he hands me paper work to fill in the blanks and sign and just hands it to me, doesn't say a word, as if I'm a mind reader to accomplish what needs to be done (granted I knew what to do but that's besides the point!!). That's very poor customer service to say the least. As a Kerrville native since 1983, I'm very disappointed in the Super 8 experience.

  Wouldn't Recommend - Not Particularly Clean, etc. etc.

  Overall dissatisfaction with cleanliness of both the hotel grounds and our room. Room was musty smelling. Heating/cooling unit was very loud and obviously aged. Bathroom wasn't well cleaned - a bit grimy on floor and on toilet top (clearly hadn't been deep cleaned in quite a long time). We were welcomed to our room by a live cricket, which we got rid of. (Our friends, staying in a different room ALSO were greeted by a live cricket). The king bed was decent, but extremely hard. Only two pillows, which were ok but no options. We travel lots and are not fussy, but cleanliness is non-negotiable. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and we should have paid a bit more to stay somewhere else.
