  Exceptional in every way — with a manager who truly goes the extra mile

  The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is the kind of hotel that reminds you why you travel well.The property is stunning — modern, beautifully decorated, and impeccably maintained. The amenities are top tier across the board, right down to the Japanese toilet in the bathroom, which is one of those delightful surprises that tells you a hotel has thought of everything.Food-wise, this place delivers on every front. Breakfast was excellent — generous, fresh, and beautifully presented. The gourmet dinners, however, were in a league of their own. Sophisticated without being fussy, and genuinely memorable.What elevated this stay from great to unforgettable was Umut, the manager. He went above and beyond in every sense of the phrase. He helped me purchase train tickets to Salzburg and personally walked me through how to take the metro to the airport — the kind of hands-on, genuine assistance you simply don’t expect from hotel management. He treated me like family, not just a guest.For anyone visiting Munich, this is where you want to be. Five stars — and a special thank you to Umut.y

  nice hotel, lacks warmth

  This is a lovely, well-appointed hotel located right at the main train station, which was very convenient for our travels to/from Munich. Our room was comfortable, but a little dusty and housekeeping was a bit inconsistent, although fine. Breakfast is nice, but a little crowded. Note, there are not many options for vegetarians. Overall, this is a large and excellent hotel, but the feel is a bit cold and impersonal.   We enjoyed our 3 day stay in Munich at the Sofitel Hotel. We selected this hotel based on its excellent reviews and its proximity to the main train station. You can’t get any closer to the train station unless you’re inside the station! Excellent care and attention were given by the hotel staff. The morning buffet breakfast was exceptional! The only negative we experienced was with the use of the spa area. Young children were present in the gym area and the spa’s indoor pool. This did not make for a relaxing “spa” experience.The hotel has a 5star rating with pricing that is expected but based on my experience if you’re wanting a stay with a relaxing spa experience this may not be for you.   Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms

  Perfection. A gorgeous hotel within walking distance of the Munich main tr add in station. Room are silent, large windows with beautiful views. Desk, lighted closet, padded hangers, safe. The bathroom has a large shower, lovely lotions, and bathrobes. We will definitely be back.   Very nice hotel near train station

  Great location, friendly and accommodating staff, very nice room, but dark and confusing light switches everywhere. Would be good to have a main switch that turns them all on and off - as well as the 20 switches located around the room. Love the bathroom space for two people with an early flight. Nicely appointed rooms. Appreciate the cool room temperature for good sleeping!
