    The apartment was clean and spacious. The bathroom had been renovated. The kitchen was small but functional. We would have like a kettle for boiling water to make tea. There was only a coffee machine. TV was only Spanish channels so we didn’t bother paying the 25 euro deposit to use a remote control. Also 25 euros to use the room safe is something we are not used to. The bed was comfortable. An unusual pillow arrangement for us was just one long pillow bolster for the double bed. Seems a strange setup as we both like different styles of pillows. We ended up using the two pillows from the second room instead of Sharing the one pillow. The rooms have zero sound proofing between them, so it was very noisy from all sides with moving furniture, loud voices - you could even hear plugs being put into sockets. The ac was welcome. The washing machine was a useful amenity in the apartment. Our apartment looked over the pool. We didn’t have a car so we walked everywhere. It was a short distance to walk to the beach, the Spar supermarket, restaurants and the bustop for trips to Almería or Roquetas.

    This hotel was undergoing extensive pool,grounds and building renovation for the entire 14days of our time there, nothing and I mean nothing was open to us on site, in fact most of the building including the canteen and indoor pool had been used as an area for asylum immigrants

    We could not check in on the night we arrived as we were never told that there is no front desk after 6:00pm and we needed a lockbox check-in. We had to find and pay for other accommodations the first night. There is only one way of contacting them and it is by phone, so without a phone plan that was impossible. Was not told of the late check-in requirement prior to arriving and there is nothing in their postings anywhere reflecting that. We had emailed the resort twice regarding car parking and late check-in and they never responded. Even did a read receipt and nothing. Had a friend in Spain call regarding the parking and late check-in and were told everything was ok and they were not told of the late check-in requirements either. Very bad customer service.Did not speak any English and we did not have WIFI yet to do google translate and they would not give us the WIFI password until we checked in. Refused to reimburse us for the accommodations that we had to pay for the first night. All signage, instructions and information was all in Spanish. Another family could not get their key cards working after hours and were in line with us for another place to stay and had to pay as they could not get a hold of the front desk (again as it closes at 6pm) and had no way of calling the after-hours phone line to get new keys cut. We ran into them the next day and Apartamentos Mar y Golf would not reimburse them for the paid room as they said they should have phoned the emergency line… but they had no way to do that.The resort was very nice but the beds were very hard and you can hear the people walking above you. The pool area was awesome.No instructions on how to use the stove and again no front desk after 6pm to ask. Never did figure it out. Had to use the toaster over the whole time.

    Resort area quiet, nice bars and restaurants and lovely walk way on the front for miles but apartmentos mar y golf is in the back streets off the front and looks run down and tired reception only open a certain number of hours a day
