  Great holiday at the Pueblo

  This was our 9th visit to The Pueblo Indalo over a 20 year period and we've always had a great time. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The apartments are clean and comfortable. The facilities are excellent. Great place for a holiday. We will definitely be back.   A bit disappointing

  We loved this hotel last year and booked to come back this year as had a geat time but a few niggles this year means we won't be coming back. Firstly the numbering system of the apartments is a bit of a nightmare especially trying to find your apartment in the dark. There's 3 pools a noisy one a quiet one a children's pool we chose the quiet pool as my sons autistic to find 2 days after we got there it was closed as it was the end of the season we're only 2 weeks into September. The apartments are spacious but not very well equipped no kettle had to ask twice for a kettle and got one two days later. The cleaners some not all were rude and did the bare minimum knocking at just before 9am on holiday and refusing to come back isn't ideal, yes I get there busy but if you get there late at night you might just want to see if you can have a lie in you are on holiday. Can't comment on the food as we were S/C the bar staff and reception staff basically resented you although a couple were lovely and went above and beyond. The supermarket on site the shelves were empty but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool bar opened 9.30 till 1.30 then closed till 5 30 what's that all about?? Love Mojacar it's beautiful but sadly won't be returning to this hotel!

  Lovely apartment, great location, but the parasols are a real problem

  I'll start with the good bits because there are some. The two bedroom apartment was clean and a decent size, the grounds are pretty, and the location is the best thing about the place. You're right on the strip and can walk to restaurants and bars in five or ten minutes, which is why we picked it. That's the two stars.We stayed 12 to 19 September 2026 with our three year old. It should have been 12 to 26.On the Tuesday afternoon a parasol came out of its base and went straight over my wife while she was on a sunbed. Over the next hour or so we saw several more come loose and blow across sunbeds that people were lying on. It was a breezy day, that's all. We spoke to another guest who told us they'd been hit in the face by one. If you look at the parasols closely a lot of them are in a bad way, metal spokes sticking out through the canopy and rust round the bases. I've uploaded photos so you can see for yourselves. Tripadvisor only takes photos, so I've put stills here. The videos of the parasols going over and the soft play pole wobbling are on the hotel's Google reviews if you want to see them moving.The bit I can't get past is that this isn't news to the hotel. Someone reviewed it on here in 2019 for exactly the same reason. A family in May 2026 wrote that the poles kept flying out of the bases and they were worried about getting hit. The hotel replied to that review in July and mentioned the sunshades. We arrived two months later and they were still the same parasols.We reported it all with the videos on 15 September. The hotel suggested we sit near the lifeguards. Our tour operator's safety team said in writing that the parasols shouldn't be in use unless they were properly secured and asked the hotel to take them down. I photographed them every morning after that and they were still up the day we checked out. We also flagged the soft play, where one of the upright poles inside moves a long way side to side right up to where it's fixed at the top. Nobody came back to us on that at all.So we spent the week not using the pools, going out during the day instead, with our daughter asking every morning if she could go swimming. By the end of the week she was telling us she was scared of the big umbrellas. On 19 September the tour operator flew us home a week early.I'm not saying don't come. I am saying if you've got young kids, watch the videos first and keep an eye on the parasols any time there's a bit of wind.

  Just returned from a week away here and thought I'd share some thoughts.The hotel itself is great for kids, especially the pirate pool (until it closes due to someone pooing it in which unfortunately happened twice while we were there)The park was great too and was great having the beach over the road. Never had an issue getting sunbeds which was great.The apartment we had was lovely and clean and beds generally got changed everyday and fresh towels.Unfortunately we feel like those were the only good parts, its a very spanish orientated hotel and would say it was 95% spanish to 5% English this meant that even the children's disco was all in spanish leaving the English children stood around not knowing what was being said and not really getting involved which is a shame as my daughter loves a disco.The pool side bars were hardly ever open which meant walking through to the snack bar everytime you wanted a drink. If you were in the childrens pirate pool it was quite a walk! The food was typical all inclusive but I wouldn't say very children friendly apart from the odd bit of pizza and chips. I know this might not be a big deal for some but tea time wasnt until 8pm which I think is very late to eat, especially with children.Some of the staff were very rude but some were lovely.
