This debonair luxury hotel is located in the tourist centre of Mojacar, just across the promenade from the magnificent sandy beach. There is an abundance of shops, boutiques, cafés, bars, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife in the resort's centre which is a mere 2 km away. Public transport leaves from directly in front of the hotel.

The hotel was modernised in 2025. 426 rooms, including 15 suites and 408 double rooms, are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. The hotel provides a baggage storage service, a TV room, an alarm call service and a smoke alarm. Wireless internet access in public areas (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Lovely hotel, shame about the A/C and food.

The upgrade we received to our room on arrival was lovely. More like a sea facing suite with separate bedroom with a extra large bed plus a separate lounge. Nice walk in shower. I asked for a shower mobility aid for my wife and one arrived 10 minutes later. We did have a problem coping with the A/C in the bedroom, it would not stay at any setting other than 21C which meant we were freezing at night. There was a separate unit in the lounge and never moved from the 24C setting. On our last night the engineer who came to look at it bought us a couple of blankets.We find the buffet style food in all Spanish hotel restaurant to be pretty boring and this one was no exception. The breakfast was the best with good choices but lunch and dinner were almost identical, so much so that after the first night we went out to local restaurants for dinner.The room was cleaned everyday with linen and towels changed as requested.Very nice pool area with lots of sun loungers and shade if required.Overall good value for money even though we chose full board, but didn't use it. Perfectly situated in Mojacar playa. Pleasant staff who appear to work very hard to make your stay a happy one. Rooms are very nicely laid out and air conditioned. Had a fantastic 3 weeks here September to Oct. The rooms are clean and cleaned every day including the beds .Air conditioning is fantastic. Good size fridge in the room. The pools are fabulous and for the time we have been here not busy even though the hotel is full. The food is amazing, some say repetitive, yes you have cheese and meat and pastries at breakfast but also scrambled eggs, fried eggs, bacon , beans, pancakes , potatoes and sausages every day but they are varied so you could have a different one every day if you wish. We have not had the same meal twice in 3 weeks. Pork, chicken, beef , fish, falafel, veg ,rice, bread ,omelettes, stir fry, chips,burgers I could go on but you get the point. Staff are lovely and smiling all day every day. Pool towels are free. A kettle is free. Overall a fab hotel but if you are going to complain about spanish people being in a Spanish hotel don't come. It's Spain people , what did you expect!? Also if you are going to complain about paint on skirtings or a couple of tiny tiles missing on the pool, seriously? There is everything you need in the hotel but also a good shop opposite for any essentials or snacks ,water , booze etc. Also the bus stop is right outside the hotel . Line 3 goes all the way along the Playa, fare 1.20 euro pp. Line 2 goes up to the Mojacar pueblo . There is a lovely pizzeria called D'Angelo just a few stops down with the return stop just over the road. OK so the entertainment is mostly in Spanish (its Spain! ) but we have had Flamenco dancers , Bingo, Singers etc and its been fun. It is quite loud and on late (starts at 10 pm) but the patio doors shut a lot of it out. Again its how the Spanish live, get in the grove have siesta and then go join in. OK so our only gripe.. to the entertainment organiser, please, please please for the love of God change the background pool / bar music occasionally. There is only so much Rick Astley, Creedence Clearwater Revival , Billy Ray Cyrus played on repeat most of the day for 3 weeks a person can stand! Also why charge for evening drinks in the restaurant, even water? You can have Cava free for breakfast but not take a drink from the bar in to dinner? Half litre of water is 2 euro 10 cents but you can have wine or beer but not carry any in. Overall a fab stay. Fantastic hotel!

Fantastic holiday — we loved our stay!We had such a lovely time at Hotel Best Tropical. There were so many sunbeds, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the sunshine. As our visit was in April, the warm and covered pool was a bonus on the days that weren’t so bright. The location was great too, with local beaches and bars within walking distance — perfect for getting out and exploring.The entertainment was a real highlight… Lots of music, dancing and fun, with a brilliant atmosphere that made our evenings thoroughly enjoyable.A wonderful place for a relaxing holiday with plenty of fun mixed in. We came home with lovely memories and would happily return! Especially at the price we paid! ?? Very good hotel, rooms were good, air con was great and plenty of sun loungers and shades around the spacious pool. The restaurant was a bit chaotic and hard to find a vacant table and the only other drawback is that it's a long way from any bars and restaurants so you have to get a bus or taxi if you want any variety.
