Typical Spanish Hotel, very big and busy but worth a visit out of season.
19 Sept 2026
Typical large Spanish Hotel, clean spacious room, friendly staff who accommodated my request for a quiet room which was great. We stayed B&B, plenty of choice but so busy, lots of hustle and bustle. Clean pools, plenty of sun loungers which were tightly packed, seating in the entertainment area also very tightly packed, wouldn’t want to be there in the height of the season.Location a bit of a walk to the main parts of Mojacar Playa, which was fine for us, there’s a bus stop nearby for the Pueblo, Garrucha and the far end of Mojacar Playa.Would stay again. Carlos Bárcenas, General Manager at Servigroup Marina Mar, responded to this review Dear guest,Our goal is that our customers leave satisfied having enjoyed a happy stay and for the whole team it is a great satisfaction to know that we have contributed to their experience being positive, highlighting their room and the attention of our staff.Kind regards, Customer Service Department.Hotel Servigroup Marina Mar.

Stayed for a week at the Marina Mar and whilst it was a pleasant enough stay I wouldn’t rate the hotel a 4 star.Rooms cleaned every day, fabulous powerful shower. My room overlooked the main pool (3008).Quite large balcony areas.Plenty of sunbeds all around the main pool areas, no issues getting an available bed.Do take your own towels though as they are not provided. Some beds looked rather grubby.Food wise - well, not sure what to say.Awful time slot system, slot 1 or 2 for dinner and lunch.Slot 1 was 8.30-9.30Slot 2 was 9.30-10.30 for dinners.Such a very small window to accommodate an entire hotel of people.I had 2 nights where I was part of a 60-70 strong queue of people waiting to go in.It was like a free for all cattle market.Horrible experience.Breakfast wasn’t so bad.Food quality was not too great, mainly at the dinner service.I do have to say though that every dish was either lukewarm or cold. Not a single hot dish all week. You do pay extra for your drinks.Friendly enough staff throughout the hotel.I will point out I did only pay £700 for the whole package holiday so I guess you may say you get what you pay for.If you want a cheap and cheerful break then this may be the hotel for you but personally I wouldn’t return.A 3 star experience I guess. Carlos Bárcenas, General Manager at Servigroup Marina Mar, responded to this review Dear, KayThank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay at our hotel. We are pleased to mention as a positive the cleanliness of our rooms, the facilities and the amount of sun loungers. As for what you mention about the temperature of the food, we would like to point out that we have temperature regulation systems that seek to ensure that the products do not suffer overcooking during their display in the buffet. Likewise, we would like to point out that we have shifts for the dining room to provide a more efficient and easier service for guests and our staff. We hope that these aspects have not prevented you from spending a good vacation and that we have the possibility of hosting you again in a future stay. Not a 4 star hotel
08 Sept 2025
Stayed in other Servigroup hotels which were lovely so really wanted to like this one but didnt so much.Room - a little dated but clean and had all amenities. Room 317 had small balcony on a corner with partial view of sea and pool but no sun all day. Food - only had breakfast - went fairly early so no long queues but food choices quite limited and hot food was tepid at best.Pools - saltwater which was fine and one near kids waterpark was shallower so a little warmer in September - plenty beds but pool bar closed with no warning just after 1pm and was only open again 4.30pm Evening entertainment - for kids at 10pm then a Diva show for adults including music of Tina Turner etc - consisted of girls dancing to recorded music - thought it was a singer - was very poorBar - ordered a mojito for 8.50 which was probably worst I have ever had - no mint and tasted just like apple juice. They did exchange it and the second was a bit better. Sorry this hotel should not be a 4 star and could take a few lessons from their Benidorm counterparts Carlos Bárcenas, General Manager at Servigroup Marina Mar, responded to this review Dear guest,We regret that on this occasion we have not fully met your expectations. We will take your suggestions into account and pass them on to the department in charge so that they can follow up on them. We look forward to the opportunity to host you again in the future.Kind regards, Customer Service Department.Hotel Servigroup Marina Mar
