Location

This hotel is located directly in the tourist centre, in the Playa Serena area of the resort. It is separated from the wide sandy beach by just a promenade. The surrounding area is littered with scores of restaurants, lively bars and shops. There is also a connection to the public transport network in the immediate vicinity as well as a golf course.

Facility

Units include 36 junior suites, a suite, 18 apartments, 59 studios, 56 single rooms and 165 double rooms located in a 7-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a childcare service, room service, a laundry service and a hairdresser. Bicycle storage is available to guests. There is a bike hire service as well.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, individually adjustable heating and a fan. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a TV and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are provided. Cosmetic products and a selection of towels provide additional comfort in the bathrooms. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Guests can strike that perfect balance between exercise and relaxation in one of the 2 indoor and outdoor pools. The freshwater pool area, which is in part heated, also has a children's pool. Pure relaxation in the hot tub, fun on the waterslide and refreshing drinks at the pool bar – guests will experience just how rich and varied a day in the water can be. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. The hotel offers a range of outdoor sport, including bocce, beach volleyball, crazy golf and archery or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking and tennis. The water sports offered include aquafit. The hotel offers numerous indoor sports, including table tennis, billiards and darts or, for a fee, a gym. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy an entertainment programme.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive. A delicious and varied buffet awaits guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The chefs prepare delicious specialities during the show cooking. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Everything about this hotel is superb - staff -rooms- food - pool - friendliness - stayed for a week as a couple ( we live in Spain ) so had a short break would certainly return - only fault television very old - no English - French German Spanish - no option to change language or sub titles ( but who watches tv on holiday - other than that a great break - thank you to all the staff Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Playacapricho Hotel, responded to this review Dear John,We thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.We are thrilled you had such a wonderful time with us.Your kind words about our team’s dedication and the welcoming atmosphere mean a lot.     Visited Hotel Playacaphrico on 12th May for 4 nights with friends. The hotel reception area is really lovely.We were happy with our rooms that were very clean and spacious. Maybe basic by some peoples standards but we were more than happy with it.The staff throughout the hotel are very pleasant and courteous.The pool area is fabulous. Lots of sunbeds.Nice little bar by the pool or just walk through to another little bar in the front overlooking the sea.Drinks were very reasonable and good quality.We visited the indoor bar later in the evening. Some good entertainment on.We stayed half board but went in for breakfast and lunch. Food was absolutely fine. What we expected from a 3/4* hotel.     Just back from a quick 5 day trip to Playacapricho and we really enjoyed it. Early in the season so it wasn't too busy, but also not too quiet. The hotel itself is gorgeous! Yes it's a little dated, but it's been beautifully maintained. The housekeeping staff and garden staff do a wonderful job, it all looks lovely. I had Room 204 and had a partial sea and pool view, as well as a great view of the palm trees and plants. Room was just enough, clean, airy, beautiful traditional Spanish tiles throughout, very happy and zero complaints. The food was great, plenty to choose from and something for everyone. Our waiter Alonso showed me round all the food stations, and made us very welcome. The drinks on all-incl are top notch. Not the famous brands, but good enough! I drink rum & cola (or ron cola!) and the measures were very friendly! The pool bar is open all day from 11am, and then after our evening meal we relaxed in the terrace bar. There's another bar called Olympo but that's not part of the all-incl. You have to pass through Olympo to get to the beach though. There's a little on site shop near reception which sells souvenirs, beachwear, and sun lotions, but not much else. You have to go up the streets for snacks etc for your room if you need them. Reception staff were great too, although apart from checking in and out, we didn't need them (which is a good thing!). As we went early season the entertainments team hadn't really started, but there were some games in the day by the pool bar, and bingo, quiz, music in the terrace bar at night. Our fellow guests were mostly Spanish, and loads of other nationalities. We chatted to Polish, Dutch, German and English people, and during our week the clientele was a slightly older crowd, but there were some young families with kids who had a great time! The pool is huge and there are different areas of it to choose from. There are slides, heated jacuzzis, ladders, steps, and it was all cleaned daily, early in the morning. There are a few mosquitoes too, and so as someone prone to being bitten, I took repellent with me.We absolutely loved it, would like to return, and will recommend to friends. Seriously good value for money!!     I don't understand the negative reviews for this hotel. I stayed here with my daughter and my whole stay was perfect. The food was much better than I've had in previous similar hotels and the price I paid for stay was a bargain. Good choice of food and great breakfast. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The whole place was spotless and room was quiet. All the guests that I spoke too seemed very happy too. The pool was huge with a small jacuzzi attached to warm up.Have nothing bad to say about stay.
