  Excellent hotel. We had a family room on the first floor. It wasn’t renovated so it was pretty basic but it has everything we needed; comfy beds, aircon, balcony with seats, bath and shower, fridge, fan etc Restaurant service was amazing. Great variety of fresh food. Very happy with meals and beverages available. Staff were on hand to clear plates away at all times. Great service!Pools were lovely. Pool with slides was of course busy with people reserving loungers all day so very rare to get one. Other pool was much quieter and always found loungers. We were not interested in slides anyway so happy in that pool.Gym was a basic gym unfortunately as we are avid gym goers but didn’t expect this to be amazing anyway so no complaints. Spa not in use which was a shame as we were looking forward to that. Hotel next door has a spa though for a cost.Location was great. Beach only a couple minutes walk away. Entertainment was great. Lots of seats and had a bar at the connecting hotel we could get free drinks from during.Guests were mostly Spanish (we are from UK) but staff had good English (our Spanish is very limited unfortunately) so we had no issues if we needed to ask for anything. Was a little worried being English with all the protests across Spain against tourists but we were never made to feel unwelcome! Overall very happy and will definitely be back again.   Very nice place, Staff is amazing, services are very good, good location and facilities. Children really enjoy the animation group in mini club, nights are very funny aswell, children and adult can enjoy the show. very recomended

  We (family of 4) spent 11 days here , and from the beginning the reception team was friendly, welcoming and looking forward to help, nothing was to much trouble for this department. Food was great, plenty of choices,clean restaurant and once again friendly stuff.Bar stuff, brilliant brilliant and I have to mention here Alejandro, Juan, Victor, plus Victor from restaurant, nice people, I do hope I will meet them again sometimes in this life. House keeping department was on top with everything, this hotel is clean and this is because this "Shadow" department,brilliant again. Pools, fabulous, those masive slides are a fun experience and the water was spot on, plus that safeguarding team was in charge. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.   My son (13) and I have just come back to Dublin from a one week full board stay at Playalinda, and enjoyed it. I ordered a taxi through the hotel to collect and drop us to and from the airport as Almeira is only 30 mins each way, otherwise you are on a bus which takes hours.The hotel website offers a shuttle service, but when I enquired, they said they did not. The website needs some updating. This hotel is a solid 3 star resort, not a 4 star, but perfectly nice none the less. The other guests are mostly Spanish, Dutch, German, French, and Icelandic with the odd English and Irish family thrown in. The Hotel entrance is dated and apart from a small a very very under whelming, but don't let that put you off. The staff were all lovely, from the restaurant to room cleaners, from the pool attendents to the receptionists, especially Anna who was particularly accommodating on reception. We stayed on the 7th floor, the top floor. The lifts go to 6th. But, it was wonderful, there are only 3 rooms on this level, it's incredibly quiet with great sea views. The room was dated and a little tired, but very clean with a fridge and a large balcony with chairs, table and parasol. If you want some luxury you need to book the 6th floor as this is the only floor renovated, and from peeking into these rooms, I have to say they look lovely.The food was fine for us. Each sitting has hot and cold foods on offer. Breakfast can be a full Irish, or fresh fruit, boiled eggs, fresh meats, coffee, juices, breads, pancakes, cereals sweet cakes etc, something for everyone. Lunch and dinner are much the same. I stuck to salads, my son had paella, or grilled fish or meats and French fries or pasta. There is a dessert section and for the kids an ice cream fridge and crepe station.There is a pub attached to the hotel, which has kids game machines, and a pool table. The pool area is great and very clean. There are two pools which are shared by the Playa Sol hotel opposite. Plenty of beds even when busy. There is also a separate section with water slides, which are great fun. And then there is a totally separate large quiet pool away from the maddening crowds if you prefer that.There is water aerobics at 1pm & 6pm, which was quite popular and a small kids club completely separate for them to enjoy. The beach is 1 minute walk from the hotel and is so clean. It's not a sand beach, tiny stones, but no problem to walk on in bare feet. The beds can be rented for €5 for the whole day.We walked the lovely long prom most evenings. This is divided into a walk and bicycle lane. There are some restaurants and shops along the away. If you fancy some shopping there are plenty of large shopping centres a taxi or bus journey away. There is a large Spar shop 5 mins walk from the hotel and plenty of restaurants and pubs to eat, drink or watch football, or rent a bike or family tuk tuk. When we checked out at 12 on our last day, we stored our luggage and went to the pool for the afternoon. All in all a very pleasant stay. The people are friendly and relaxed and its cheap and cheerful.   Just returned from a weeks holiday with friends. Hotel was nice but some outside areas looking tired and in need of repair. clean large rooms with two large beds. Staff didn't speak very much English. Pool area had plenty sun beds and parasols, only problem at pool was told I couldn't use an inflatable ring in the pool as it was too large. couldn't see what the problem was there was two large pools as well as a children's pool so plenty of room for inflatables. Food wasn't the best and was never hot even when it was just bought out from the kitchen. Only things that were hot was the toast which you did yourself and when it was cooked in front of you...i.e. eggs in morning and various meats and fish in the evenings everything else was cold. We ended up eating a few nights to get a hot meal. Overall we had a nice stay. Nice resort plenty of bars and lovely beach.
