  Too dark and stuffy rooms . Plenty of space but poorly designed . Cannot adjust the air con / heat function . The hotel has heating and air conditioning year-round; you just need to know how to activate it. We would be happy to help you if you are unsure. The rooms do not have kettles.   Great Boutique Hotel in Gijon

  Excellent location and wonderful staff. We booked one of the junior suite attic rooms and it was perfect. Nice veranda and very comfy bed. Breakfast was great. Coffee and buffet. The waiter gave us steamed milk which was perfect. Highly recommend it. Parking close by.   Stylish and comfortable

  We stayed for 7 nights at El Môderne Hotel. The hotel is stylish and comfortable and very centrally located. The staff are courteous and friendly. We stayed in a junior suite with a terrace on the 6th Floor which was spacious with a good sized bathroom and large shower cubicle with a powerful shower. There was a Nespresso machine with espresso cups. We requested a kettle for teas and this was provided. The breakfast was a good continental buffet with breads, croissants, cheeses, meats, cereals and fruits. They also provided Soya milk. The bar is cosy with mood lighting and relaxing music. I had requested Champagne to be brought to our room as it was my husband’s 70th birthday and this came with a nice little card and chocolates which was a nice touch.   Excellent hotel with a personal touch

  When visiting Gijon the Moderne Hotel should be your first choice, the professional service received by their director Ms. Elida and staff was extraordinary. The hotel is very cozy, clean and well located, walking distance to the Plaza Mayor.Our junior suite H603 was large and had a spectacular view of the city.Congratulations to a great team, and for sure we will return to our second home soon.Manny & Mary C.
