We rushed off the morning we left to resume the camino. We forgot our passports! Ciudad Gijon staff informed us immediately (Maria) and arranged a taxi to take the passports to our next stop on the route. She saved us from something that could have ruined the holiday and delayed us by days by taking such quick action. We are so grateful. It was fantastic reaction in a very tricky situation! Gracias! Solid option in Gijon
31 May 2026
We spent just one night in this hotel in Gijon. The location is perfect if you are arriving by train - just across the road. Our room was really great with a huge bathroom, excellent shower, and - most importantly - fantastic air conditioning. Very quiet too - we slept really well. They kept our bags for us too as we had a late flight, so we could explore more of the city. It's about a 15min walk into the old town. Overall, recommended. Victoria Rodriguez Quiroga, Director General at Silken Ciudad Gijon, responded to this review Dear Byron31,Thank you for sharing your experience and for recommending us. We are delighted that our convenient location suited your travels and that you enjoyed a comfortable, quiet stay.It is wonderful to hear that the room, spacious bathroom, and air conditioning met your expectations. Our team is also pleased that our luggage assistance helped you make the most of your time exploring the city.We appreciate your kind words and look forward to welcoming you back for another enjoyable visit.Best regards,
