Such Potential but not quite there, yet!

The hotel had undergone 3 name changes in the 8 months since I made my original bookings, which must tell its own story. That said, it is a very spacious hotel with 3 public relaxation areas. A large outdoor space offering recreational and seating areas. What it does lack, however, is intimacy. The spacious bedrooms have large, comfortable beds, together with a bathroom with a bath and separate shower.There is an excellent breakfast offering a wide choice and a very good-value 3-course dinner. Reception staff and dining room waitress were all very helpful and friendly

Hotel with no food or drink.

We arrived 1600 Sunday afternoon on a motorcycle after booking with booking.com. At no time before booking we were informed of the following: Hotel was empty but looked nice, reception was manned and our room was clean. We were given a piece of paper stating bar and meal times. When I asked where the restaurant was I was informed it was closed and there was no food available in the hotel. When I enquired about the bar I was also informed that it was closed. Unless I got back on my bike we were stranded in a quiet location with no food or drink. It cost an extra €12 for a taxi to town for food and we walked the 45 minutes back.It seemed like the only person in the hotel is the receptionist although the car park is empty apart from the bikes and 1 car. She told me there are other guests. Apparently the restaurant is open for breakfast at an extra cost €12 so we will see how many guests there are then….

Beautiful Landscape

This lovely hotel is located in a picturesque setting that touched us and upon arrival we were eager to walk the grounds. There are so many birds on the grounds creating a comforting environment. The hotel grounds were in need of some maintenance and lacked an adequate pathway so the stroll was shorter than desired. The room was clean and comfortable and we slept well with the help of the quiet setting. The dinner wasn’t the best but the breakfast buffet was great. Staff were warm and welcoming. A comfortable stay all around.

Shocking treatment. Staff were unhelpful and unprofessional. Massive wardrobe but no hangers. Lovely rooms but no coffee or tea facilities. Queue to the only coffee machine was eternal. No food despite coming late from a delayed flight. No four stars, more like a basic hotel.

This was 4 star hotel with zero star service. No hangers, no coffee making facility, no drinking water and no iron in the room. The receptionist staff are rude and less than helpful, the food is awful and the bar service is none existent. The kitchen closes early and you are stuck in middle of nowhere. The basics that you would expect in a 4 star hotel are just not there.
