Amazing interior
01 Jun 2025
WOW amazing interior a fantastic experience staying in this hotel the interior is beautiful, the car parking can be a little chaotic as it’s on a first come first serve bases but we were luckily enough to secure a place, the bedrooms are large and in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The situation is ideal to wander through the streets of Avilia, nice touch on an evening they come around and do a turndown of your beds. Great stay! Velada Hoteles, Marketing at Palacio De Los Velada Hotel, responded to this review Dear David, Thank you so much for your comment! We are so happy to know that you enjoyed the interior of the hotel and that your overall experience was fantastic. We are delighted that you appreciated the decor, the spaciousness of the rooms, and the small details like the turndown service at night. We have noted your comment about the parking; we understand that it can be somewhat limited during busy times, and we appreciate your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another great stay in Ávila.Thank you for choosing us, and best regards from the entire team : )

Great city centre hotel
15 Apr 2025
Love this hotel. Right in the middle of the city. They do have some car parking €16. Our room was spacious and had a bath. Fridge and safe available.Excellent selection at breakfast and my husband who is coeliac was well catered for. Lots of historical features. The staff are all cheerful especially in the bar. I would alway stay here if we were to return. Velada Hoteles, Marketing at Palacio De Los Velada Hotel, responded to this review Thank you so much for your kind review, Luisa! We are so happy to know that you enjoyed your stay with us and that the location, room amenities, and breakfast met your expectations. We are especially proud to know that your husband felt well attended to regarding his dietary needs—providing inclusive, quality service is essential to us.We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Ávila. Thank you for choosing us! And a big hug from the entire team : )

Very poor welcome
24 Jan 2025
Soundproofing is abysmal and we were met by a *very* unwelcome receptionist who checked us in. We went to the restaurant and were told, in no uncertain terms, to "speak Spanish". She was a young waitress who was very unpleasant. Didn't feel one bit welcome in this hotel. Velada Hoteles, Marketing at Palacio De Los Velada Hotel, responded to this review Dear guest, We are deeply sorry about the experience you describe, as it does not reflect the level of service we aim to offer our guests. We take your feedback very seriously and will be sure to investigate what happened both at the front desk and in the restaurant to take the necessary measures to prevent situations like this from happening again. Our goal is to make every guest feel welcome and comfortable during their stay, and we regret that we did not achieve this in your case. We appreciate you letting us know and look forward to the opportunity to improve your perception in the future.Kind regards,

Wonderful historic stay
24 Sept 2024
We booked our accommodation some 10 months ago - so got our room booked at an exceptional price ?? I'd become apprehensive reading about how poor the soundproofing of the rooms is/how uncomfortable the beds were, but that wasn't our experience at all! When we arrived I specifically asked to have a room which enjoyed the evening sun and we were delighted with the room that was appointed. It was spacious, very comfortable beds and an incredibly tranquil part of the hotel (room 169).We particularly enjoyed the internal courtyard of the Palacio where we enjoyed the Pinchos. Wish we'd known in the first instance just how cheap a glass of wine was (3 euros) in order to qualify for a free Pinchos!! All in all couldn't have imagined staying in better accommodation from which to explore Ávila. Velada Hoteles, Marketing at Palacio De Los Velada Hotel, responded to this review Thank you so much Jay for sharing your very positive experience with us!We are glad to know that your stay was so satisfactory and that you were able to enjoy the comfort of your room as well as the peaceful atmosphere that the hotel offers. Room 169 is certainly an excellent choice, and we are pleased that you found the perfect space to relax after a day of exploring Ávila. We are also delighted to know that you enjoyed the interior patio and our pinchos. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future. Thank you for choosing our hotel for your visit to Ávila and greetings from the entire team!

We loved this hotel
23 Jun 2024
This rather well worn converted Palacio is much more enjoyable and satisfying than sleeker more modern options. We didn’t have a room with views over the town, but rather an internal courtyard but we opened the French doors wide and enjoyed the quiet and the fresh air. The bed was huge and slightly firm, just as we like. The bathroom was generous in size and the shower strength was strong with plenty of hot water. There is a large wardrobe to hang your clothes and an OK TV. But best of all were the two adjoining roofed courtyards on the ground floor. The first courtyard has the best reviewed restaurant in Avila. The second courtyard is the breakfast buffet area. We were delighted with both. We were at the hotel for four nights and we loved it, both for is unpretentious charm and for its perfect location inside the old town walls right next to the cathedral. Velada Hoteles, Marketing at Palacio De Los Velada Hotel, responded to this review Thank you very much, Anthony N!! for your detailed and positive review. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the facilities and services we offer. It is a pleasure to read that both the restaurant and the breakfast buffet area met your expectations. We take pride in providing our guests with a complete experience in such a privileged location within the old town walls. We sincerely appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.A hug from all of us :)
