  HVAC Failure, not even partial refund

  Nice hotel, nice rooms. However, the HVAC went out entirely during the night. Not even a fan. Stifling. Front desk told me to open the window. Cold air, rain and traffic noise from open window. Unable to obtain even a partial refund. Very unprofessional.

  Old room and terrible bed

  Very old/dated room. We didn’t sleep well because of the terrible hard bed. No coffee- and tea facility and no mini-bar in the room. We payed a high price for one night.How can this be a four star hotel?Positive: large parking garage with possibility to recharge your electric car. Friendly service in the cafetaria.   Great location for city views and value

  Great location to view the city from the main viewing point and an easy walk into the town.Good easy parking and rooms did exactly what we expected. On site cafe snack bar was very good and great helpful service. Local restaurants near by. Very nice helpful reception staff. Great value for money.   Comfortable hotel, but let down by the lack of cleaning

  Liked · Overall we liked this hotel, the room was enormous and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful view of the city walls. The bathroom layout was great, an open basin room area with a separate toilet and separate shower with individual doors. Location is just up the road from the Cuatro Postes viewpoint so easy to access that but it's probably at least a 20min walk to get to the gates of the wall. Wasn't a problem for us as we walk everywhere. Easy parking at the front of the hotel. Didn't use the cafe next door but it looked good and was quite busy at times.Disliked · I didn't feel that the room had been cleaned properly. The whole time of our stay we were finding long dark hairs all over the floor which I pointed out to reception were obviously not mine or husband's. Just needed a really good vacuum.

  Well situated for Ávila with an excellent view of the city walls from the rooms at the front.Poor WiFi, very inefficient air conditioning (on the 5th floor) and parking limited to a ‘wasteland’ at the rear when busyThe attached cafeteria isn’t very good but breakfast was superb...one of the best buffet breakfasts we’ve had, provided in a very pleasant and spacious room with very attentive staff.Decent value at €97 but hardly justifies its 4 star reputation.
