  I'm sorry I didn't check more details before booking. I'll start with the location, I was initially happy to find something more affordable in a central location, how can I say it without offending anyone, the location doesn't look like Europe. This could be something culturally positive, just that within a 10-15 minute walk (I think it's more like 10 minutes because you have to walk alert) in all directions from this hotel you have the feeling that at any moment you can be attacked verbally or not only, dirty and a smell of pee with other spices. The rooms, small but let's say you have to maximize the space but very dirty, dust and dirty walls, peeling and old doors. The price, you would say that for all this the price should be decent, it's not really like that I paid more than 800 euros in the above conditions which seemed like a good price compared to other hotels I thought were central. Honestly I don't understand why people are so attracted to this city, maybe out of curiosity like me, it's really Gaudi's works and the cathedral which is really a masterpiece but otherwise nothing special. The reception staff was the only positive thing about this hotel. When we arrived we were very nicely welcomed by the gentleman at the reception even though it was very late, with lots of information about the city and a very friendly attitude.   Clean, but no AC

  The hotel is very clean. The location is good, but the neighborhood only had Middle-Eastern food choices. The AC did not work, and the door electronic access worked only intermittently.   Hotel cancelled booking to resell at higher rate

  Cancelled my booking - no response from hotel and room readvertised at a higher rate. We booked more than a month in advance to secure a good price, around £111. 3 weeks before we are due to go I get a message to say the booking is cancelled. No explanation. Is the hotel closed for refurbishment perhaps? No the dates are still being advertised but now the nearest alternative is £182. No replay from the hotel so I would book elsewhere as it would be difficult to trust they wouldn’t cancel last minute to get more money and you will be left without a hotel and needing to pay extra for an alternative.   Two of my friends and myself stayed here last week for what should have been a two night stay, the room was fantastic, very central to everything we needed. The cleanliness was second to none. The hotel staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming. We checked out after our stay. Unfortunately our flight home that night was cancelled due to the French air traffic control strike. We were accommodated for one night through our travel company but were left to organise alternative accommodation for a second night. We went straight back to the abba rambla where Sol and the hotel Manager that day 4/07/25 went above and beyond their duties to help us with a room. I can't thank you enough for what you did, you helped out three very stressed out ladies that day and we won't ever forget it.   Lovely clean hotel & staff were happy & friendly. The breakfast selection was fantastic there was ample choice including drinks. All the common areas were very clean & the hotel is well maintained. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the main square & a taxi to the airport was €35. The hotel room had sealed bath sponges, combs & dental kits for each person. There was also shampoo & body wash supplied which was fine for washing your body but not great for our hair ( 3 women travelling).
